HALLOWEEN MONTH! Sally Hansen Hard As Nails - Ghost

Happy Saturday!

Today I have yet another awesome vintage Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Halloween polish to share - Ghost. These polishes came out in 1999-2000, and I love and cherish each and every one I own. This and Skeleton are the two white ones from the collections, and since they're so dang sheer, they need to be layered over white. This is two layers of Ghost over Sinful Colors Snow Me White. The iridescent glitter of this polish was a PITA to catch on camera, so make sure to check out the bottle shots at the end to see the glitter in full swing! So pretty!

I hope your weekend in wonderful!

China Glaze - Moon Over Miami

Hey there!

Today I have a SWEEEET vintage China Glaze to share - Moon Over Miami. Yes, a most gracious gift from the lovely Jacqui while I was back in Ohio. I've had all of these China Glaze bar glitters on my wish list forever, and now one is finally mine! Moon Over Miami is a smoky black sheer based polish with holo bar glitter, making it very unique to my stash. I REALLY want CG to bring back these old glitters. PLLLLEASE! This is two coats over L'Oreal Boogie. Jumping Jupiter, you're next, my friend.

Aw. Yea.
What do ya think, guys?

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails - Jack-O-Lantern

TGIF!

I'm starting off my three day weekend today by switching out the fiance and my summer and winter clothes. Exciting stuff LOL! Today I have a flipping AMAZING Sally Hansen Hard As Nails to share. Sally Hansen's Halloween polishes have been on the tippy-top of my wish list ever since I laid eye on them, so you can imagine my jaw hit the floor when I found Jack-O-Lantern on eBay. And for CHEAP. *hugs bottle close to my chest* Witches Brew and Trick Or Treat, you're next! (image credit goes to Pretty Random)*evil laughter ensues....*

Jack-O-Lantern is a vibrant, bright sheer orange polish with matching orange glitter. I have seen swatches of this polish layered, but I wanted to let it shine on it's own! This is four coats, and although there is a VNL, I LOVE the way it looks standing on it's own!

Oh Sally, bring them all BACK!
I need MOARRRR!!!! :D

Old and New - Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds Jewel's N' Berries & OPI Princesses Rule!

Hey polish lovahs!

Today's another Old and New post! I'm starting off with a Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds polish, Jewel's N' Berries. I have a few from this line and I've always wanted more. This is where the lovely Lauren swoops in! She included this beauty in our recent swap. Did I mention yet she's the best? Jewel's N' Berries is a deep magenta polish LOADED with shimmer and micro glitter. Just gorgeous. Formula was still nice and smooth with time. Final verdict? I need more Wet Shine Diamonds.  Lots more.

Weird things happen as a polish lover. I normally fall head over heals for anything strange colored, vampy, green, or glittery. As of late, I've been craving delicate shades. After I read Scrangie's post on OPI's Princess Charming collection, I decided I need them all. A blogger pal had a blog sale & I came across Princesses Rule! *jaw hits the floor* It's such a perfect pink crystallic sheer polish. I love how it catches shades of silver and almost blue in some light. This is four coats and worth every one! This may very well be one of my favorite OPI's. Now the search continues for the rest. :P

Impressed? :)

KBShimmer - Party Nail Polish

Happy almost Friday!

Today I have an amazing Etsy find to share! Look - I could spend my entire paycheck on Etsy. Five paychecks, actually. It's a weakness in the the biggest way for me! So, I really limit myself to the frankens I buy. I only buy the ones that I without a doubt can't live without! When I came across Party Nail Polish from KBShimmer, I didn't hesitate to click "buy". I am so amazed and happy with my purchase that I'm already planning my next order from the shop! They all look amazing and the soaps sold as well look delicious! Prepare to drool!

Just fantastic, riiiiiight?!?! Party Nail Polish starts off with a milky white - almost a pale lavender base. Very smooth base formula and easy to work with. Next comes all the fun! It's a crazy birthday party on my nail! Fine green/blue/pink glitter, various size and color SQUARE *squee!* glitter, holo silver DIAMOND *eek!* glitter, and various sizes and colors of hex glitter. It's a rockin' celebration indeed! You would think from the look at it, it would be hard to tame to a smooth finish to touch - but I was a lucky girl with this one! One thick(ish) coat of Seche Vite and it was smooth as can be. This is two coats. Did I mention I adore this polish? :P

AAAGGGGHH!! :D
Have an awesome Thursday!

Old and New - China Glaze In The Mood & Nicole by OPI Kourt Is Red-y For A Pedi

Happy Tuesday!

Or in my case, Monday! My friend from back home was in Virginia Beach through yesterday. It was wonderful to have her here - great food, good drinks, shopping, & the Ocean Front! :D It's back to the grind today so I thought I'd start off today's post with a fun dusty find - one of China Glaze's vintage In The Mood polishes. There was no name on this bad boy, but the vibrant yet sheer light lime green color really drew me in. The matching shimmer is a real winner! This polish was too old to change color, but that's fine by me - I love this shade just the way it is! Formula was just fine. This is two coats.

Next up I have another polish from Nicole By OPI's Kardashian Kolors collection - Kourt Is Red-y For a Pedi. I love bright, in-your-face tomato red creme polishes SOOOO much! They look great with my skin-tone and they have a sexy yet sophisticated feel to it. The brush and formula were great, this is two coats.

Have a great day! <3 Dana

Revlon - Whimsical

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Sorry it took so long to get this post up, but I worked 10 hours Christmas Eve and the fiance and I exchanged presents. He really is amazing - I got a red Helmer (the boy listens!) an iPhone, and a Steve Madden wallet. I'm a lucky, lucky girl! Love you, Jeff! I just got off work today and am really excited to show off this lovely Glitter In The Air Dupe - Whimsical from Revlon. I know everyone is so excited over this polish! I've had a lemming for GITA FOREVER and thanks to Jacqui my lemming is no more! Thanks again, love! <3

This is two coats of Whimsical over two coats of Etude House's BL501. As much as I really like this combo, I think next time I'm going to go for a more grey-toned light blue. Either way, this is such a "Dana polish". I love polishes with a whimsical feel to them. I need three gallons of this polish. THREE. Whimsical is a VERY sheer light blue polish with fine shimmer and light pink and baby blue hex glitter. *sighs* So in love with this polish. :)

Whimsical wonderland.

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers Passionate Purple

Can't you just smell the Halloween in the air? :p I can - maybe it has something to do with my ever-growing Fantasy Makers collection! hehe..I've been addicted lately! This older FM was sent to me by my wonderous friend Amanda for my birthday - yes, she IS the best! :)

Passionate purple is one of the older Fantasy Makers, not sure exactly what year. It looks much more opaque in the bottle, because MAN this puppy is SO sheer! This is five coats. FIVE! It looks like a grape popsicle or lollipop to me:) so I'm pleased with how it turned out, just don't know if I have to patience for five coats every time. :/ Layering perhaps?

In case you haven't noticed - I've become quite obsessed with collecting Fantasy Makers. THANKS AMANDA!

Pink Wednesday! SpaRitual - Airhead

Happy Pink Wednesday!

I feel like I'm either always forgetting Pink Wednesday or my post set up isn't pink. Oh well, I'm trying to get better at that. Today I have for you my first SpaRitual polish, Airhead!

I'm still working on loving pink. To be honest, before becoming a blogger and polish-addict, I always stuck to funky/dark colors. Since diving head first into the world of polish, I'm really starting to love pink more and more! I'm a real sucker for sheer, watery pinks. This one I got through a blog sale and I love that it almost has a jelly finish to it. Such a classy polish! Three coats.

I've personally never seen SpaRitual sold anywhere that I can remember, but you can locate where to buy through their web page www.sparitual.com

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Square Pants

Happy Sunday!

Today I finally get to show you a polish I've been waiting to get, RBL Square Pants! Ever since I got Bikini Bottom and fell in love, I knew I wanted Square Pants & Starfish Patrick. Well......I waited way too long to buy Patrick and now he's sold out. :*( Hopefully we can bring him back, and until then I have this sunny polish to share with you!

SP is a sheer jelly polish like Bikini Bottom, although BB has a watery finish, while SP had a slight shimmer, although I needed four coats to reach the opacity that I wanted. Like BB, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this polish!
It's a great summer polish for sure! Pastel yellows can be SO tricky for coverage, but when it's a sheer beauty it's flawless! My RBL's are my babies, so here's some more pics! ;)

My wish list for RBL is a mile long, and trust me from my experience with Sparfish Patrick, if you want a polish snatch it up before it RIP's!

RBL polishes are pricey, but the colors are amazing, application is flawless, and they wear like iron. Seriously, they are one of the brands on the tippy-top of my fave list!
