HALLOWEEN MONTH! Sally Hansen Hard As Nails - Ghost

Happy Saturday!

Today I have yet another awesome vintage Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Halloween polish to share - Ghost. These polishes came out in 1999-2000, and I love and cherish each and every one I own. This and Skeleton are the two white ones from the collections, and since they're so dang sheer, they need to be layered over white. This is two layers of Ghost over Sinful Colors Snow Me White. The iridescent glitter of this polish was a PITA to catch on camera, so make sure to check out the bottle shots at the end to see the glitter in full swing! So pretty!

I hope your weekend in wonderful!

piCture pOlish - White Wedding by Llarowe

Hello there!

Today's Wednesday! Excuse my enthusiasm, but I worked all weekend and after today I have glorious days off to spend time with my mom and brother! They're coming to visit me for the first time to Virginia Beach from my hometown in Cleveland. AAGGHH I can't WAIT!

Today I have a generous and amazing gift from the equally generous and amazing Lauren. She is the best swappin' buddy out there and I love her to death! THANKS AGAIN MY LOVE! <3 <3 <3 She sent me White Wedding from piCture pOlish, the one from their new collection that I was DYING for! White Wedding is a milky white based polish loaded with delicate iridescent shimmer. So whimsical and just plain pretty! I'm in love! This is three coats.

Have a great hump day! :)

The Spooky Bones Company- Strange Polish - 7 of 9

ALLO!

Today is day two of The Spooky Bones Company's Star Trek polishes that I purchased. Star Trek: Voyager is hands down, bar-none my favorite Star Trek EVER! Seven of Nine is a charactor on the show that was born human, assimilated by and raised by the Borg until she was freed and joined the crew of Voyager. She's sexy and hilarious in my opinion. Do the damn thing, Jeri Ryan.

Image credit : Sheryl's Star Trek Site

Onto the polish! 7 of 9 is an amazingly beautiful pain-in-my-butt polish. I think I need one more go with the polish to get it 100% right. Anyhoo, the bottle brush is really long and glops of polish keep creeping onto the nail. The base of the polish is a really gorgeous iridescent pearl shimmer. Added is micro-fine and small holo glitter, blue and white moons, and black, blue, and green stars. The moons and stars were hard to lay down so they just kind of stuck up. I say who cares when it looks so nice? It does glow it the dark but alas, I couldn't capture it in pictures. Two coats over two coats Revlon Dreamer.

Fun, right?
Anyone else a Trekie? :)

Red Carpet Lacquer - Toro

HI!

It's time for even more Etsy indie polishes! Today I have my first of two polishes from Jamie over at Red Carpet Lacquer. Before we move onto polish, I have to note how wonderful it was ordering from her. Communication was a delight, shipping was lightning fast, & it came packed in little red bags with silver tinsel. Today I have Toro to share. Oh Toro, Toro, Toro, where do I start? :P Clear base with three types of red glitter - small, bar, & square. Two types of black - large hex and square. Two types of white glitter - bar and hex. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This is two coats over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's Wet Cement.

Aw yea. That's right.
Do you own any Red Carpet Lacquer?

Retro Sunday Squared with Scholarly Nail - Vintage Urban Decay

It's that time again!

I can't believe it's already been a week since our first post, but Jacqui and are back with another addition of Retro Sunday Squared! We chose Urban Decay for today - you MUST go check out her blog post for the day - the sneak peak I got from her already has me drooling! I'm getting so excited just thinking about it LOL! The first polish I chose for today's post is Metropolitan - which was actually a gift from Jacqui herself! :) I was so extremely sad to take it off to keep swatching - this bad boy is going on a full mani ASAP! Take a look!

Just revisiting these swatches again is making me miss Metropolitan so much! It's AMAZING!!! Ahhhh.... *stares longingly at her bottle*..... onto business! This stunning beauty my friends is a deep magenta jelly packed with fine silver glitter. The effect is just drool-worthy - juicy yet sophisticated. I'm so in love. Thanks again, Jacqui! Metropolitan jumps to the top of my favorite polish list! This is two smooth coats.

Oh yea.
Next up I have Florescent. What an odd name for a pearly white, right? Anyhoo, this is my newest addition to my Urban Decays from an eCrater seller that Kaz introduced me to. Terra has a wonderful range of polish and cosmetics and was a gem to buy from - check her out! Florescent is a very sheer polish, so I layered two coats over two coats of Revlon's Powder Puff. I love how it catches shades of pink. Pretty!

Have a relaxing Sunday! Make sure to check out Jacqui's blog for her amazing Urban Decay polishes!

KBShimmer - Party Nail Polish

Happy almost Friday!

Today I have an amazing Etsy find to share! Look - I could spend my entire paycheck on Etsy. Five paychecks, actually. It's a weakness in the the biggest way for me! So, I really limit myself to the frankens I buy. I only buy the ones that I without a doubt can't live without! When I came across Party Nail Polish from KBShimmer, I didn't hesitate to click "buy". I am so amazed and happy with my purchase that I'm already planning my next order from the shop! They all look amazing and the soaps sold as well look delicious! Prepare to drool!

Just fantastic, riiiiiight?!?! Party Nail Polish starts off with a milky white - almost a pale lavender base. Very smooth base formula and easy to work with. Next comes all the fun! It's a crazy birthday party on my nail! Fine green/blue/pink glitter, various size and color SQUARE *squee!* glitter, holo silver DIAMOND *eek!* glitter, and various sizes and colors of hex glitter. It's a rockin' celebration indeed! You would think from the look at it, it would be hard to tame to a smooth finish to touch - but I was a lucky girl with this one! One thick(ish) coat of Seche Vite and it was smooth as can be. This is two coats. Did I mention I adore this polish? :P

AAAGGGGHH!! :D
Have an awesome Thursday!

Elixir Lacquers - Kind Of Connery

What's up?!?

The weekend went by way too fast. Did some really successful thrifting, the fiance cooked for me, found an amazing new comic book store, and Walking Dead premiered again! All in all - pretty awesome! Today I have a polish from fellow nail blogger Nicole over at Nail Polish Wars. She has an amazing blog, so when she premiered here new polish line, Elixir Lacquers I jumped at the chance to buy one of her beauties - Kind Of Connery. You too will fall in love!

Are you drooling yet? YES? GOOD! :P Nicole - you have me completely in awe with Kind Of Connery! I knew from her swatches on both her blog and site that this was a polish I couldn't live without, but man when I opened the package and saw this baby in person - I was speechless. Looking at this polish both in the bottle and on the nail it reminds me of a galaxy deep in space! The deep blue jelly base, LOADED , I mean LOADED with with green micro-glitter and large glitter, silver small glitter, royal blue glitter, and white hex-glitter. It's so fascinating to stare at! Deep space in a bottle. *sighs* Did I mention I love this polish? :P This is two coats over one coat of Loreal's After Hours.

So

I mean SERIOUSLY Nicole?!?!? WOWZA!

Have a great week! <3

Wet N Wild Ice Baby's Give Me a Price Quote over Rescue Beauty Lounge Underwear

Good morning, pretties!

Today I have another polish from the Ice Baby collection that I purchased (by far my favorite!) and  my new RBL addition. All in all I think this is a very fun post! :D

This was one of the polishes in the collection that I knew I wanted the most! I know it's supposed to be gold, but to me it looks like bordering on lime green glitter! AKA - I LOVE IT! Give Me a Price Quote is a clear base with a mixture of bar and micro glitter. This is one great glitter, gals! This was my favorite from the Ice Baby collection along with 24 Carats. I recently became really, really into bar glitter. :P This is two coats.

Oh I love the glitter goodness!
Underneath the amazing glitter lies my newest addition to my lovely Rescue Beauty collection - Underwear. I was always looking for a good white polish for layering and was curious about this one. After seeing it on a blog sale I thought it was about time. I love RBL so much, they're one of my all-time favorite brands, and this lovely polish is that adult version of putting whiteout on your nails. And this, ladies, was one coat! :)
