China Glaze - It's A Trap-Eze!

Allo!

I'm digging my current manicure so much, I just had to post it today! Life doesn't allow me any swatching time right now, so I've been settling on posting my manicures that I'm wearing. :) I'm starting to get a little back-logged so I'll start trying to play catch up soon.

Today I have It's A Trap-Eze! to share. I don't know why, but I've been wearing a lot less vintage polish and a lot more newer ones. Hmm. Weird. I received It's A Trap-Eze! from my recent Secret Cupid swap, it had been on my wish list since I first laid eyes on this collection. What's not to love?! Milky pale blue base loaded with multi-sized rainbow glitter. So awesome. Right up my alley. Formula was thin, but of course it makes for great layering looks for this bad boy! This is three coats. LOVE.

Have a great day!

China Glaze: Pizzazz

Hello there, ladies!

I know I mostly try to post my passion for vintage polish, but I gotta tell ya - there have been so many newer polishes coming out that have really caught my eye! This winter I fell head over heels over China Glaze's Holiday Joy Collection. I ended up with over half the collection, and looking back I think I might still need to get my hands on more. :P

Today I have one of the stand-out glitters Pizzazz to share today. Gah this polish is so awesome! The main glitter that stands out is the silver, but following closely behind is pink, blue, purple, orange, and green. It's a party on my nails! This is three coats over Revlon Orchid Chrome. LOVE. I can see myself reaching for this glitter for many times to come.

Enjoy your Tuesday! :)

Ulta3 Glitters - Part 2

Hey there girls! It's time for part two! I hope you're all enjoying these glitters as much I have am! Swatching them was such a blast!

First up I have Over The Rainbow to share. Gah I just fall head over heels for these rainbow glitters. I own way more then any girl really should, but I'm pretty sure many of you can say the same. :p Over The Rainbow is awesome with the color mixture in the clear base, but the brush on this one was wonky and really thin. It was so odd compared to the other five. Manufacturing issue? Probably. This is two coats over Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Racy Creme.

Next up I have Luck Of The Irish. This, ladies, is my favorite of all six! Why you may ask? Let's see.... it's my favorite color, (GREEEEEEEEN!) it's glitter, and it's named after my second favorite holiday, St. Patty's Day. This bad boy will definitely be on my nails this year! This is two coats over Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Trendy Creme.

Last but not least I have Twinkle Toes to share. This is by far the blingy-est of the six! I LOVE how bright it is! PERFECT for the holidays for sure - maybe over a red? (My mind always turns to Christmas LOL!) This is two coats over Maybelline Zip Fly.

I hope you all enjoyed these as much as I did!

L'Oreal Jet Set Shine - Crushed Opal

Hey there, dolls!

Happy Sunday! Anyone have anything fun planned for today? I'm meeting a friend at IHop for brunch, going grocery shopping, and going to see The Hobbit. All in all, a really fun day indeed!

Today a have a VHTF vintage L'Oreal to share, Crushed Opal. I have three of these L'Oreal flakies, and as a collector I love owning them knowing they were made YEARS before flakies were all the rage! These might even be some of the very first flakies? Anyone know anything that I don't?

Crushed Opal is your typical flaky that flashes a rainbow of colors, mostly resting on green, purple, and orange. Think Finger Paints Twisted. I loved the wide brush on this. This is two coats over L'Oreal Blue Metal.

Have a great Sunday!

China Glaze - Winter Holly

Hey there!

I hope you're all having a good jump start to your week - yesterday was crazy busy at work! I REALLY hope today doesn't turn out to be a repeat.

Today I have a GREAT holiday glitter to share, Winter Holly from China Glaze's 2012 Holiday Joy collection. If there's one thing I've learned since getting into polish, it's that when China Glaze does green glitter, they do it RIGHT! So I moment I found out there was one in this collection, I knew it had to be mine! My swapping pal Ashlee threw this is with our last swap and it was LOVE at first sight! :p Winter Holly is a dense pine green glitter polish with a micro fine rainbow/holo glitter mixture swimming within. It just looks so freaking awesome! Now it DOES dry really gritty, so this is shown with two coats Gelous and one coat Seche Vite. Three coats.

Have a great Tuesday!

LA Colors: Color Craze - Candy Sprinkles

Hey there!

Today is everyone else's Tuesday, but today is my Monday! I had a nice long five day weekend! I spend all day yesterday relaxing, catching up with my DVR, and swatching.

Although I try not to buy too much polish these days, I feel no guilt when it's a Dollar store find! One of the local stores back in Ohio carry LA Colors, and when I saw the new display and this polish on there - I jumped for joy! Candy Sprinkles is a polish you NEVER see in the dollar polish variety - so I was so shocked! There were only two bottles left - if you're my Secret Santa coming up here - you'll be getting the second. :P Candy Sprinkles is in the Claire's Deborah Lippman Candy Shop class - bubble gum pink jelly polish with with rainbow various-sized glitter. AKA GLITTER SAMMICH! I was impressed with the formula - nice n smooth! To give it the right layered feel, this is three thin coats. So awesome. And a buck. YESSS.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

HALLOWEEN MONTH! China Glaze - Immortal

Hello, dolls!

Today I have a freakin' AWESOME @$$ polish to share, Immortal from China Glaze's Wicked Collection. I have been more and more attracted to greys lately and this one ROCKS my socks off! Immortal is a grey shimmer polish loaded with rainbow shimmer. And let me just tell you, this shimmer makes this polish what it is! I LOVE Immortal so much! The formula was fantastic, this is three baby smooth coats. Make sure to check out the bottle shot at the end with all the shimmer!

SHIMMAH!!!
Anyone else pick up Immortal?

Layering Fun - Smackers Blueberry Blast & Orly Obsidian Desire

We meet again!

I hope you're all having a great week, I've been having a blast with my mom and brother being here! I'm going to be so sad when they leave :(. Today I have such a fun vintage polish layering combo to share today, and it starts off with a Smackers polish, Blueberry Blast. Jacqui sent this glitter bomb to me, and I hope one day I can get my hands on more! I totally remember these when I was a kid, they're scented. I didn't let this dry long enough I think while swatching, because I didn't smell blueberry. Blueberry Blast is a navy tinted clear-based polish with a rainbow of mirco fine glitter. It has such a cosmic feel over black! This is two coats over Orly's Obsidian Desire, up next.

Underneath the amazing glitter I'm sure you're still gawking over, I have a vintage Orly to share - Obsidian Desire. I really miss the old Orly bottles. They just felt heavier and sturdier, if that makes sense. *Shrugs* Obsidian Desire is a great black creme, it was opaque in two coats. This may be my new favorite black!

If anyone comes across any Smackers glitters, send em my way! *winks*

Layering Fun - Revlon Dark Pleasures Midnight Affair & Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers Black Magic

Hey fellow polish addicts!

If you're like me, you look forward to Wet N Wild's Fantasy Makers collections around Halloween and love finding the unique ones from the past. I have quite the collection of them, and MAN a lot of them are great! Today's polish is no exception - this is the rainbow bar glitter version of Black Magic! The lovely Jacqui hooked me up with this gem. What makes it so fun is not only the rainbow bar glitter, but how thin and small they are! I don't have anything like this is my stash. This is a well saturated polish too, this is two coats pictured. LOVE!

SO. FUN!
Underneath Black Magic is an older Revlon from their Dark Pleasures line, Midnight Affair. I remember this line coming out around 2006-2007 I believe? I love me a good black-based polish with blue shimmer and this is no exception. I really enjoyed the formula as well, this is two coats.

Have a great day!
