HALLOWEEN MONTH! China Glaze Mummy May I

Hello there!

I can't believe it's Monday already! Weekends sure do fly by! It's been good to be in full swatching mode again, I've missed my nail community while I've been so busy!

Today I have another polish from China Glaze's 2010 Halloween collection, Awakening - Mummy May I. Formula was much better and a lot less thick with this one versus Ick-A-Bod-Y. Mummy May I starts off as a smoky black jelly base loaded with magenta glitter. Very Halloween-y indeed! This is three coats. Very build-able and I love the dimension of it all. LOVE.

Here's to hoping your Monday flies by!

Milani - Totally Cool

Happy Saturday!

Welp, ladies - I've officially found my favorite Milani ever - Totally Cool. Not sure what exactly took me so long to jump on the bandwagon with this one, but I'm more than happy I came to my senses!

Totally Cool is what happens when an amazing jelly has a baby with beautiful duochrome shimmer. The purple jelly leans towards blue and the shimmer shifts from magenta to bronze. Seriously. I have no words. It's flipping amazing and if you don't have it yet you're absolutely insane. What's even more insane? I paid a mere three bucks and some change with shipping on eBay. RUN TO EBAY AND BUY THIS!!! NOW!!! This is three or four coats..I can't remember. I was too busy drooling.

Totally Cool has totally stolen my heart. <3

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fall 2011 polishes

Oh, Friday! Thank goodness you're here!

I have the day off today - it's going to be full of swatching and happy hour and a cookout. Today I have three polishes from Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Fall 2011 collection. I came across these at the Dollar Tree, and since I missed out on Bronze Ablaze I was definitely ecstatic! BTW - have you guys seen the recent Insta-Dri LE's?! In A Flurry??? Duochrome shimmer?! No worries, swatches to come. Onto the polish!

First up I have Emerald Express, a deep turquoise shimmer polish with a slight hint of duochrome around the edges. I LOVE this color! It freakin' GLOWS man! Seeing these swatches makes me want to wear this as a full mani NOW. This is two coats of green magic. MAGIC.

Next up I have Ruby Rush, a black-based polish with heavy magenta/red shimmer. What a GREAT Fall color! Fall is my favorite time of the year for polish. Well, that and Christmas - all the greens come out then! ;) This polish strikes me as being very sexy yet sophisticated. Two coats.

Last but not least, I have Bronze Ablaze. After seeing swatches on Scrangie's blog I knew I had to have it. Alas, I was too late and I couldn't find it anywhere. Fate smiled upon that fateful day and I got the last one at Dollar Tree! The formula on this one wasn't nearly as smooth and creamy as the last two - it was runny and watery. Not unworkable, just threw me off from the bunch. Bronze Ablaze is an olive green and gold shimmer polish with serious brown undertones. WOW-ZA. Two coats. True love.

Have an amazing Friday!

Creative Nail Design - Pulse

Hello girls!

I don't own many CND polishes and I really don't know why. I mean, I love the shimmers they have currently, but MAN they have so many great ones from from old line! They definitely chose a different approach when they change their bottle. I need more. That's all there is to it.

Today I have Pulse to share, I believe it was released with their Christmas 2008 collection. (FYI - that whole collection is filled with amazing glitter. I need them ALL!) Pulse is such a stunner. It has a rich magenta jelly base to it loaded with magenta, silver, and holo glitter. It's freaking feminine and awesome all rolled into one. This is one THIRSTY glitter I might add though. This is two coats with one coat Gelous and two coats Seche Vite.

Who doesn't love a good glitter like this one?!

Maybelline Express Finish Glitter - Far Out Fuchsia

 Hey girls!

Today is going to be a quicky post, I'm still on vacation back home in Ohio and I have a beautiful day planned with Melt with my bro and dusty hunting with Jacqui! What a rough day, indeed! LOL! My quick NOTD from last week I have to share is one of my beloved Maybelline Express Finish Glitters, Far Out Fuchsia. WOWZA. If you love a vibrant in-your-face pink glitter, this polish was made for you! These glitters are all so amazing and on my wish list for a reason - they really pack a glitter punch! Far Out Fuchsia starts off with a bright magenta base, LOADED with fuchsia glitter. Glides on smooth, this is two beautiful coats. The way this shines leaves me almost speechless. O_O No other words needed! Enjoy drooling... :P

Yep. Soak it all in.

Old and New - Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds Jewel's N' Berries & OPI Princesses Rule!

Hey polish lovahs!

Today's another Old and New post! I'm starting off with a Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds polish, Jewel's N' Berries. I have a few from this line and I've always wanted more. This is where the lovely Lauren swoops in! She included this beauty in our recent swap. Did I mention yet she's the best? Jewel's N' Berries is a deep magenta polish LOADED with shimmer and micro glitter. Just gorgeous. Formula was still nice and smooth with time. Final verdict? I need more Wet Shine Diamonds.  Lots more.

Weird things happen as a polish lover. I normally fall head over heals for anything strange colored, vampy, green, or glittery. As of late, I've been craving delicate shades. After I read Scrangie's post on OPI's Princess Charming collection, I decided I need them all. A blogger pal had a blog sale & I came across Princesses Rule! *jaw hits the floor* It's such a perfect pink crystallic sheer polish. I love how it catches shades of silver and almost blue in some light. This is four coats and worth every one! This may very well be one of my favorite OPI's. Now the search continues for the rest. :P

Impressed? :)

Rimmel - Zeitgeist

HAPPY SATURDAY!

Today I have an amazing, rare, and stunning duochrome to share - Zeitgeist by Rimmel! I have some of the most amazing polish friends a gal could ask for, and Esther is one of my dearest. She knows I'm a collector of vintage polish and how rare this gem is, so she gifted it to me out of the goodness of her big heart! THANK YOU SO MUCH, ESTHER! I'm in duochrome Heaven!

At first I thought Zeitgeist was your typical duochrome but I was so pleased to see it is so dimensional!  An oil slick in a bottle! The main color of this polish of course is deep magenta, and it flashed mainly gold, but it also has a blue/green the appears as well in some light. I LOVE Zeitgeist so much! It's so hard these days to find good duochromes that translate well from bottle to the nail. Two coats.True love.

Some nice bottle shots for ya!

Essence Circus Circus collection - Don't Feed The Tiger & Cotton Candy

Well hey now!

Today I have a very exciting collection to share (*squee!*) - Essence's Circus Circus collection! This amazing two-ended polish collection made it's way all the way from Germany! My lovely Twitter friend and fellow blogger Jeanette made it all possible! I don't need to tell you how breath-taking her blog is, I know you all know her all to well! Thanks again, girl! :)

First up I have Don't Feed The Tiger. The main reason I was so excited about this collection was the SQUARE GLITTER! I'm a glitter nut. Make it square? I drool and loose my mind. That's exactly what I did with this collection. LOL! Don't Feed The Tiger starts off with a gold chrome polish on one end, and a clear base with gold and black micro-fine glitter and black square glitter. I mean, what's left to say? Just awesome as sh*t.

Next up I have Cotton Candy. This polish is a wonderful magenta pink polish with matching glitter. I'm slowly falling more and more in love with pinks and I love how the glitter compliments the polish in this one. Very fun!

Tomorrow I show the other two! :)
