Revlon Color Chrome: Orchid Chrome

Hey there, polish lovahs!

I suck. I have had so much going on, blogging has just honestly taken a back seat. I need a good old fashioned swatching day indeed! In the meantime I have an oldie Revlon to share from their vintage Color Chrome line, Orchid Chrome. A blog sale find, it was a no brain-er for a vintage Revlon collector such as myself. Looking back at my pics now, I see that I REALLY needed that extra coat after the bald spots I'm seeing. I *think* this is three coats.

Have a great Tuesday!

Layering Fun: Revlon Top Speed Celestial FX & Sally Hansen New Lengths Mosaic Creme

Hey there, dolls!

Today's my day off, so I thought I'd actually post today LOL! I'm trying really hard to get back into the swing of things by posting every other day now. I miss the days that I could post everyday, but like just won't allow that right now. *sigh* Oh the life of a blogger. I feel like I've been out of the loop with the polish community for so long.

Anyhoo, today I have a layering combo to share that shows off one vintage polish and one brand new polish that just came out! Revlon, as you know, is one of my favorite brands EVER. Between StreetWear and their overall amazing-ness, that steal my heart over and over again. Today I have one of their new Top Speed glitters to share (which are now CORE! Yippee!) Celestial Fx. I love the concept of this polish! Silver micro-fine holo glitter with large star, moon, & diamonds. They were quite the pain in my you-know-what to fish out. This is one coat over Sally Hansen Mosaic Creme, up next!

Next up I have the undies of the manicure to share, Mosaic Creme. OMG I've been lemming after this polish for so long, and I was so happy to snag it from a blog sale. Mosaic Creme is a dusty slate blue/gray creme polish that has a stone cool feel to it. I don't know why but I adore this polish. So much. This is two coats.

Have a great Thursday!

HTF: Revlon Rock Royalty

Happy Thursday!

Sorry this post is going out so late, it's my day off. My job's been so hectic lately, I really need this day to relax. So, naturally the universe would give me a horrible headache so that I'm in bed until after noon. I have big plans now though, Season 4 of True Blood on DVD and the new Ulta3 glitters to swatch that the lovely Lauren sent me! I also think I'm going to start doing posts of my stash to show you lovely ladies what I have in my Helmers!

Today I have a crazy HTF polish to share, Revlon's Rock Royalty. I won a pretty intense bidding war on eBay, but ever since I saw swatches when I was a nail newbie I fell in love and was on the search! UGH, I cannot find any info on this polish now! I've been searching the web and can only find Revlon's polish Rock. HELP! I swear I used to know the year and collection, but now it eludes me! The only post I can really find is Kaz's Bottle Spam in THIS POST. Rock Royalty is just so rich and decedent. The deep base, red shimmer, gold shimmer, everything. It's everything I knew it would be and more! I wore this polish for four days, and it didn't chip with minimal tip wear. This is two coats.

Have a great day!

Revlon Extra-Extra Crystalline - Hot Texas Chili

Hey girls!

I hope you all had a great Christmas! I was pretty homesick, but my husband-to-be made it one amazing holiday! He really is the best, I nailed down myself a good man.

Today I have a Revlon to share from a very old line Extra-Extra Crystalline. Jacqui sent me this polish, I think this may be one of the oldest Revlon's I own and I honestly can't find anything on this line. As a vintage polish collector that's music to my ears!

Hot Texas Chili is a molten copper shimmer polish with slight golden shimmer. It has such a velvety, rich feel to it! Formula was a little thin, this is three coats. Such a great Fall color!

Have a great Thursday!

Revlon - Very Currant

Happy Saturday!

I love Revlons. I love vintage. I love reds. Roll em all up and what do ya get? Today's polish - Revlon's Very Currant! This gem was sent to me by my lovely pal Lani in one of our swaps, I love this girl so much and I love our swaps just as much! <3

Very Currant is a warm-toned cherry red polish with a slight gold tone to it. AKA a GREAT Christmas red! Not your usual cheery, bright red - but more of a warm and cozy red! One thing Revlon nailed back in the day was reds and this is proof! This is two coats.

Have a great weekend!

Revlon StreetWear - Forest

Hello there, polish lovers!

We all know what one of the BEST feelings can be for a polish addict/collector - CHECKING ONE OFF THE WISH LIST OF COURSE! My lovely Instagram pal and swapping buddy Ashley made my week by sending me Forest!

StreetWear's Forest is one of the greens that has been HAUNTING me to own! I love green - make it a shimmery, smooth forest green and I'm grinning ear to ear! Prices on eBay were always just to steep for me, so thank you, doll! In my opinion, this is a PERFECT Christmas green indeed! This is two coats.

Anyone else lovin' Forest?

Revlon Top Speed - Shazam

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all have some fun stuff planned for today! I'm working for only three hours, then it's PARTY TIME!!! :D Can't wait! I love my friends here so much - never a dull moment!

Today I have a long time lemming I got to cross of my wish list thanks to a LOVELY reader, Jessie! THANKS AGAIN, GIRL! Shazam is one of these vintage Revlon Top Speed glitter polishes that had been ITCHING the back of my polish lemming mind since I got into polish. I've never came across it in a blog sale or eBay so when Jessie emailed me that she wanted to gift it to me I did this crazy happy dance! Shazam is a clear-based polish with pink, rose gold, and purple glitter. The pay-off is a feminine yet fun pink glitter! Perfect party polish! :) This is three coats.

HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY!

Revlon Top Speed - Splashy

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a vintage Revlon Top Speed polish to share from my polish BFF Jacqui! As you all know, my love for vintage Revlon polishes pretty much knows no bounds, so you could imagine my excited when I saw this beauty in person!

Splashy is your typical watery vintage goodness! A dusty, lightened green polish with a slight blue duochrome to it! It has some golden tones to it as well. I love pale, mossy greens like these! Three coats.

Have a fun weekend!

HALLOWEEN MONTH! Revlon - Haunted Heart

Hey polish lovers!

Today I have the second polish I chose from Revlon's new Halloween collection, Haunted Heart. This was also CP'd by the ever so darling Krista of Starlet's Nails. I know I mentioned you're the best but I just want to say it again, girl! <3

Haunted Heart is a PERFECT and FANTASTIC Halloween orange! That golden yellow shimmer?!?! YES, PLEASE! I'm wearing this as a full mani right now and I'm telling you, it's so festive for right before Halloween! The formula was on the thick side, yet smooth. Almost a one-coater but this is two. I really am drooling over this killer shimmer, people!

Anyone else fall for this polish? I know I did!

HALLOWEEN MONTH! Re-swatch: Revlon StreetWear Nightmare

Hi there!

Today I decided I wanted to re-swatch one of my favorite Halloween polishes, Revlon StreetWear Nightmare. I had first swatched it here, but I thought I'd give it another go for the love of Halloween!

I love StreetWears Halloween glitters, Costume Party still ranks high on my wishlist! Nightmare is a clear base polish loaded with small black glitter and holo bar glitter. The layering possibilities are seriously endless. I LOVE this glitter! This is two coats over yesterday's Root Of All Evil. :) I ADORE this look!

Have a great day, ladies!
