Digital Nails - Sorry I'm Not Made Of Sugar

Hello again!

I haven't had much time for swatching since I've been planning for and stressing over our wedding next month, but I did remember I had swatches of this amazing polish on my computer! This is the last Adventure Time polish that I ordered from Digital Nails (I'm so bummed I missed out on the Lumpy Space Princess polish. She's my fave. BUMMED.) Today's polish is based off of Marceline the vampire princess. This is a perfect representation of her indeed! Deep purple base? CHECK! Holo shimmer swimming within?! CHECK! Large hex holo and black glitter to boot? CHECKKKKKKK! I FREAKING LOVE THIS POLISH! I know I've said it before - but her polishes wear like iron on me, formula is perfection. I can see myself buying her polish again and again and again. If I remember correctly, this is three thin coats.

Digital Nails - Bonnibel

Hello there again!

Today I have another Adventure Time polish from Digital Nails to share, Bonnibel - and this time it's based off of Princess Bubblegum herself! I love pretty much any polish with a milky base like this, so the fact that it was a pastel pink as well really sold me on this one! Bonnibel has slight shimmer to it along with various sizes of pink glitter. Very girly, very fun, very Princess Bubblegum! Formula on all of their polishes is amazing, and this one was fantastic! This is three coats that wore like iron! LOVE!

Have a great Wednesday!

Essence LOL

Hello again!

Two posts two days in a row?! NO WAY! I'm trying really hard to get back into the swing of nail blogging again, but I'm super frustrated that I can't find the right lighting situation like I had before. Today's pics are all with flash.

Today I have an Essence polish to share, and it's a Shrek green neon! I love these quirky greens for summer time, they're so fun and bright! I like Essence's new brush and the application was pretty good. My only complaint is that it chipped like the night I painted my nails. I don't think Essence's polish does well on my nails. This is two coats.

Happy Friday!

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat - Sweetie

Allo!

Whelp, it's settled. I officially need each and every Sally Hansen Sugar Coat polish! They're so awesome! I had always thought that I would hate the grittiness of these types of polishes, but I gave them a shot anyhow. I'm so glad that I did! I love the pastel yellow color, I love the formula, and I love the look! It's gritty but not too gritty, and I think it's pastel yellow shade is great for summer. This didn't chip or show tip wear for almost over three days. I really love this one, and I can't wait to try out more! This is two coats.

I can't wait to try more!

China Glaze - Glitter All The Way

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Today I have some old swatches that I forgot about to share with you! I love Christmas polish collections so much! If you're a red, green, blue, or glitter I WILL snatch you up! There were so many great polishes in China Glaze's 2012 Holiday Joy collection, and today I have Glitter All The Way to share with you! This is less of a holiday polish to me, and more of a Mardi Gras polish for SURE! I'm obsessed with New Orleans, well Louisiana in general, and Mardi Gras has always fascinated me! It's a party it a bottle!

Glitter all the way is clear based with purple, green, red, and gold various sized glitters swimming within. The result is a bling-y manicure indeed! This two.....maybe three?... coats over a pink polish and I love the way it looks! I can't wait to see what China Glaze has in store for us this holiday season!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Digital Nails - Oh, Fionna!

Hello there!

My interest in indie polish has resparked recently when my fiance and I started watching Adventure Time and I found an Adventure Time collection from Digital Nails! First up I have Oh, Fionna to share - a polish based off the character Fionna the human. The glitter was a tricky one, I had to flip the bottle upside down let it set for a while, then shaking the bottle up a few times. Kind of a pain, but the outcome was worth it! The nude base has such a pretty iridescent shimmer that I loved with my skin tone! Mixed within is irregular shaped white glitter (some squares! YAY!), yellow hex glitter, and turquoise round glitter. This is three thin coats. I have to note how this polish wears like iron! I wore it for four days with very minimal tip wear or chips.

Have a great day, all!

Orly - Ancient Jade

Good Morning!

Don't know why I've been reaching for only new(er) polishes lately. I barely have time to paint my nails let alone go digging through my Helmers. I have been snagging the first one to catch my attention. I was in the mood for a crisp creme the other day, and a mint green type polish really had my attention. Ancient Jade is from Orly's Spring 2011 Precious Collection. I think I swatched this back when I very first got into polish and haven't touched it since. I think I want a more minty green (lighter) in my stash so I'll have to keep my eyes open for one this Spring. This is two coats.

Have a great day, lovlies!

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Oh hey there!

Yea, yea, yea. It's been almost three months. I know. Life's gotten into the way. Planning a wedding, getting a new job and promotion, having more of a social life, having other new hobbies/passions (Warhammer 40k, wax blogging) that polish blogging just took a back seat. I stopped buying for a while, I even stopped painting my nails for over a month and a half. The passion's coming back to me though! I've been buying polish like crazy again (poor wallet) and I might even be up to swatching if I ever get the time! For now I have a quick swatch to share that I never uploaded, China Glaze's Running In Circles from their Cirque Du Soleil collection. Who can go wrong with a great green glitter this bright?! I hope this isn't my last post for another three months, I'll be back soon! ;)

Have a great rest of your Sunday!

Sally Hansen - Opulent Cloud

Good morning, polish lovers!

Today I have seriously awesome polish to share, the fabled Sally Hansen Opulent Cloud. I think this came out in 2009? GAWD it's AMAZING! I finally found this bad boy and had a bit of an bidding war on eBay. TOTALLY. WORTH. IT. The base is a dusty lavender/taupe/grey with gold shimmer. Not quite a duochrome but definitely a morpher. This is two maybe three coats? I remember it being rather thin. LOVE.

SO PURDY!

NOTD: Milani - Glitzy Stilettos

Hello there!

Today I thought I'd pop in and say hi and share a recent NOTD with you all! I had to completely chop my nails off (who white. YUP.) since my promotion training has my nails all bend out of shape. They were peeling and broken. So it's time to start over and let them breath and grow!

Today I have a polish that is all Kaz's fault. This post is why. Glitzy Stilettos is just so pretty I couldn't resist snatching it up on eBay for a mere few bucks. Sometimes, although I'm not a pink girl, I love a good pink polish. This is two coats. I think this would be a great pedicure color!

Have a great week! <3 Dana

China Glaze - It's A Trap-Eze!

Allo!

I'm digging my current manicure so much, I just had to post it today! Life doesn't allow me any swatching time right now, so I've been settling on posting my manicures that I'm wearing. :) I'm starting to get a little back-logged so I'll start trying to play catch up soon.

Today I have It's A Trap-Eze! to share. I don't know why, but I've been wearing a lot less vintage polish and a lot more newer ones. Hmm. Weird. I received It's A Trap-Eze! from my recent Secret Cupid swap, it had been on my wish list since I first laid eyes on this collection. What's not to love?! Milky pale blue base loaded with multi-sized rainbow glitter. So awesome. Right up my alley. Formula was thin, but of course it makes for great layering looks for this bad boy! This is three coats. LOVE.
