Sally Hansen - Mistletoe

We meet again!

I'm sorry, did you say you were ready to see another vintage Sally Hansen Christmas glitter? Well hot damn, you're in luck! ;P

Today I have Mistletoe to share. There's nothing complex to it really, just a mixture of small and bar glitter in a clear base. But what I really love about it is the vibrant, festive green love to the glitter! It's so Christmas-y and fun! There are so many SH glitters floating around on eBay right now, and I need them all. ALLLLL. I need more monies first. :p This is two coats over Cover Girl Red Revolution.

Have a fun day, all!

Milani - Crystal Blue

Hey there!

Sorry for the SUPER late post today. I've been working long days and I had to take my friend to the hospital last night when she had her baby. EXCITING! Welcome to the world, little baby Madison!

Today I have a great vintage Milani glitter polish to share that a lovely Twitter/Instagram pal sent my way, Crystal Blue. I really miss when Milani and Sinful had this round, chubby little bottles! I LOVE EM! Crystal Blue is a clear-based polish with micro light blue glitter and light blue holo bar glitter. So fun. This is two coats over China Glaze Blue Bells Ring.

Have a great night, girls!

Maybelline Express Finish - Shooting Star

HI!

I love glitter. A LOT. I love layering glitter. A LOT. I love vintage polish. A LOT. Let's just roll those all together for today's post, shall we?

Maybelline Shooting Star was one of the very first vintage Maybelline glitters I bought over a year ago and I'm not sure why but I never swatched it until now! WWHHYY?!?! It's freaking amazing, man! It might be one of my all-time favorite glitters EVER actually! Shooting Star is a mixture of fine silver holo glitter and blue bar glitter. I cannot wait to ear this again! Two coats over China Glaze's Blk-Bila-Bong. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

YES.
Are you in love too?!

HALLOWEEN MONTH! Orly - Monster Mash

Hey there, girls!

I'll be popping up sporadically over the next few weeks. I just have so much going on right now with working over time and planning a wedding. I'll try my best to pop in and say hi when I can! :P

Today I have a polish that I received from my Secret Goblin, Katie. Holy COW did she hook me up with my gifts and goodies, but PLUS she's right here in Virginia just like me! When's our play-date, girl?! :D So here we go with Orly's Monster Mash. Man oh man I really wish that I had swatched this during the day in the sun. It's insane holo goodness doesn't translate all the way and the lime green goodness seems to turn to St. Patty's Day green. You just believe me - it's THERE! Monster Mash starts off as a murky green clear base loaded with large green hex holo glitter, and gold micro and bar glitter. It's freaking AWESOME! It was hard to get it opaque, this is four coats.

Anyone else get this green Halloween bad boy?

HALLOWEEN MONTH! Re-swatch: Revlon StreetWear Nightmare

Hi there!

Today I decided I wanted to re-swatch one of my favorite Halloween polishes, Revlon StreetWear Nightmare. I had first swatched it here, but I thought I'd give it another go for the love of Halloween!

I love StreetWears Halloween glitters, Costume Party still ranks high on my wishlist! Nightmare is a clear base polish loaded with small black glitter and holo bar glitter. The layering possibilities are seriously endless. I LOVE this glitter! This is two coats over yesterday's Root Of All Evil. :) I ADORE this look!

Have a great day, ladies!

Revlon - Disco

Happy hump day!

Today I have another AMAZING vintage Revlon to share, this is time it's Disco! The lovely Kaz CP'd three of these bad boys to me, you can see Psychedelic HERE. These gems are Revlon Street Wear bar glitters just in the old Revlon bottles - same name, number, etc. AKA I go completely ga-ga for them! Disco is a clear-based polish (ever so slightly a tinge of blue, that my be from age or intentional? Not sure.) with tiny light blue glitter and holo bar glitter. Bar glitter being the key to my heart and Revlon being one of my favorite polish brands, I'm on cloud 9. This is two coats over Essie Dive Bar.

Here's to hoping this week flies by!

Retro Sunday Squared with The Scholarly Nail - Vintage Sally Hansen glitters!

We're baaaaaaack!

We've taken a bit of a break, but we are back and read to rock and roll! Jacqui and I have missed our Retro Sunday Squared posts so much! For today we'd thought we'd start things off with a bang with Sally Hansen glitters. First up I have Solar Power, one of my newer glitter additions from eBay. Solar Power is a FANTASTIC summer yellow glitter! It's very sheer so I layered two coats over Sally's Complete Manicure Yellow Kitty. It is jam-packed with holo glitter, making this a fun, sunny look! LOVE.

LOVE.
Next up I have a fun bar glitter (YAY!) to share, Pink Champagne! This is another newer polish I bought from the same seller on eBay. I have a bar glitter obsession so I fell in love right away! I love the mixture in this one, tiny pink glitter mixed with three different colors of bar glitter - pink, gold, & lavender. I think next time I might pair this with a lighter shade of purple or pink. This is two coats over Essie Luxedo.

Party in a bottle!
Don't forget to check out Jacqui's post today!

Chi Chi - Moondust

TGIF!

Chi Chi has become one of my new favorite polish brands. I LOVE each and every one I have thus far, and Moondust here is top-notch! This bad @$$ glitter was sent to me by the awesome Kaz. (Thanks again!!!) According to this post, I have the newer more purple-based version. I would love to get my hands on the original as well, but that looks like it'll be quite a feat!

Moondust starts off as a purple jelly base. MAN it took patience and lots of thinner to get this is play nice! Even then I had a hard time with the large brush and goopy formula. Definitely one of those polish I'll get better the next time around. ANYHOO, This is a VERY unique polish to my stash! The night sky-like glitter isn't just fine glitter, it's little itty-baby bar glitter! (You'll have to check out the bottle shot at the bottom & enlarge. Then drool. :p) The effect it tends is so sparkly! This is two coats.

ENLARGE ME!

Pretty great glitter, huh?

Halloween In July! Revlon Streetwear Oct 31st

TGIF!

Today I decided that it's Halloween in July! I recently came across one of the rarest Streetwears out there - Oct 31st - for only 99 cents at my favorite thrift store. My eyes popped out of my skull and my jaw hit the floor. It was like a dream LOL! I still actually can't believe it's mine!!! :D Oct 31st is a clear-based polish with small black glitter and vibrant orange small and bar glitter that makes for one glowing glitter. Halloween in a bottle! UGH I LOVE IT! This is two coats (formula was pretty dense) over A-England's Avalon. I think it would be great over black or a vibrant green as well.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN IN JULY!
