Rimmel Salon Pro: Saturn

Hello there!

I love Rimmel. In general. I love their matte powders, blushes, lipsticks, lip glosses, EVERYTHING. So naturally, I love their polishes. Vintage and new alike. The new line they've come out within the past year or so - Salon Pro - is one of my favorite polish lines out there. They just work for me! The brushes, formula, it all. So much so that I think I now have over a dozen. The moment I saw the swatches for the new Kate Planets Collection on my girl Hannah's blog HERE, I knew I needed at least three of them. The first that caught my eye is the gem I have to share today, Saturn!

Saturn is seriously flipping AMAZEBALLS! AH-MAZE-BALLS! I know I have few colors like this in my collection, but I can't pin point them right now. WHO CARES WHEN IT'S THIS BEAUTIFUL. Saturn is a shimmery velvet golden olive green masterpiece. I only needed two buttery smooth coats and this wore like iron on me for about five days chip free. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. You will too. Go buy this. NOW.

Did you leave to go buy this yet? GO!

Quick NOTD - Hard Candy: Haze

Hello there, we meet again!

Lately I've been hitting the jackpot with vintage polish. eBay, Ecrater, you name it, things have just been popping up left and right! If you're a vintage polish collector like myself, you know how these things go. Things come in waves. One minute there will be a drought, the next it's a field day out there! I'm riding this wave as long as I can!

I recently bought two lots of Hard Candy polishes on eBay for a STEAL, and one of them is this 90's gem I have today, Haze. Frosty? CHECK! Streaky? CHECK! Pastel purple? CHECK! This is one of those quintessential polishes that you know we ALL had when we were in middle school! Will I ever actually wear this? Well, no. But it will get happily tucked away with my collections of vintage Hard Candy polishes and be loved of all its days. This is three coats of watery, frosty goodness hot mess.

Have a great day!

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy: Wild Card

Hello again!

Today I have a great blue polish to share, one of the new Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy polishes - Wild Card. I LOVE these polishes so much! They apply opaque at one coat, the formula is nice and smooth, and they wear really well on me. I think I have about four of them, but this one might very well be my favorite! Wild Card is a very close dupe for Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. (although I don't own that one to do a comparison.) I love these types of blues that really pop, they are great colors for all seasons as well in my opinion! This is two coats shown. LOVE this one!

Have a nice day, ladies!

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails: Radar

Happy Hump Day!

I finally got to sit down and get some good swatching and blogging done today! It feels so good sometimes to sit down and relax and have some quality time for yourself! (While watching Netflix, of course. DUH.) At some point I guess I should shower and try to look human again, but we're not quite there yet.

Today I have one of the many of these Sally Hansen Limited Edition Sally's that I own, Radar. I love these polishes, they're all milky unique/fugly colors with holo glitter. AKA, right up my alley! Radar is definitely one of those fugly kind of colors, it's a maroon/chocolate brown sort of color. I really wasn't sure at first what kind of color I should go with to layer this over, so I ended up using two coats over Urban Decay Brick House. Most of the glitter was stuck on the side of the bottle with time, but I was able to get enough on the nail. I can say I have nothing else like this in my collection!

Enjoy your day!

Urban Decay: Brick House

Good evening!

I hope you're having a great weekend so far, it's taken me this whole past week to get back into the swing of things after being out of town for over a week. The cold Ohio weather completely DESTROYED my cuticles too. Still trying to get them back in shape!

Today I have a really great vintage Urban Decay polish to share, Brick House. This bad boy was a recent eBay find. I have a pretty nice sized collection of these polishes now, so when I see one that I don't have I jump on it! Brick House is a vampy blood red creme polish, and the formula was pretty thin. I used three coats shown and there are still bald spots in my swatches unfortunately. I adore these types of reds, and this girl can never have enough!

Have a great Saturday!

Urban Decay: Addiction

Hi!

I hope you are all having a great week so far, I'm actually on vacation back home in Ohio right now, so this is coming to you as a scheduled post. We haven't been back to Cleveland to visit in a YEAR, so it's a trip well due indeed! Sometimes it's really hard living ten hours away, but it sure does make trips home even more special. And yes, I'll be on the hunt for polish while I'm away!

Today I have one of the many awesome new Urban Decay that have come out in the past few years, Addiction. This little buddy came out in their Fall 2013 collection. I literally ran right up to Sephora back when this and Vice came out. After years of those boring little mini bottles, UD finally got the ball rolling with great polishes again. ADDING A SKULL ON THE TOP OF THE CAP AS WELL? GENIUS. JUST GENIUS. Addiction is a great metallic grey/green polish with an almost smoky look to it. In certain lights, it flashes silvery/gold as well. Formula was so great, nice and smooth. This is two coats.

Hope you're having a great week!

Revlon: Gold Goddess

Good morning!

Today I have a really fun LE Revlon Glitter to share, Gold Goddess from the Summer 2014 Rio Rush collection. This would be yet another one of those polishes that I bought, hid away in my Helmer, and forgot about until I stumbled across it the other day. I literally forget what polishes I own. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally bought the same polish twice. The struggle of the polish addict is real. Let's talk this gorgeous glitter now!

Gold Goddess is the kind of glitter that I love seeing from Revlon, especially in their vintage gems as well! Some brands so certain types of polish so well, and I think Revlon is great for their unique glitters. This lovely gem is a clear base LOADED with irregular golden glitter shards. I LOVE irregular glitter shapes, they give a polish such an artistic feel. This is two coats over a dark creme polish. I just said glitter too many times. Sorry. GLITTER.

Have a great day!

Sephora Formula X: Dynamic

Hello there!

As much as I love a great green or purple glitter polish, I also love me a nice nude polish as well. Always have, always will. It's hard to find a great nude though. They often times wash you out or give you mannequin hands. What I really love about this Formula X polish Dynamic is that it's a nude/grey polish. It almost looks like a beautiful putty color, nice and creamy! This is my one and only Formula X polish that I own. The formula is really nice for application, and I have to tell you - this polish chips like CRAZY on me. I would love to try another one from their range, just to see if it was just a fluke.

Have a nice day!

Super Quick NOTD! Sally Hansen New Lengths Ceramics: Mocha Madness

Hello again!

Today I have a super quick little NOTD to share, Sally Hansen New Lengths Ceramics in Mocha Madness. I COULD NOT for the life of me get this to photograph nicely for more than two photos. Hence, Super Quick NOTD. Mocha Madness if such a beautiful chocolate metallic polish. It looks so rich and creamy, I love the shimmer is this one. It looks good enough to eat! I love these types of shades for the fall. This is two coats, formula was a little thin on the first coat, but two evened it out perfectly.

Have a nice day!

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails With Nylon: Rich Lady

Hello again!

Today I thought I would keep the ball rolling with another great vintage polish, Rich Lady! I'll save you having to hear me rambling on like always about how much I adore these bad boys. Because they're awesome. CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY awesome. Matching caps, unique colors, blah blah blah. ANYWAY, Rich Lady is one of the newer ones that I've acquired from eBay about a week ago. I don't think I have any other polishes like this that I can think of off hand in my Sally collection. It has an almost frosted (but not frosted, really) copper base to it along with multisized copper glitter in there as well. It's unique and I love it. This is two coats over Revlon's Raisin.

Have a great day!

Revlon: Raisin

Hello again!

Today I have a really great vintage Revlon Topspeed polish to share, Raisin! This is one of the polishes that I've had sitting in my Melmer, thinking there was nothing really to it from looking at the bottle. MAN was I BLOWN AWAY on the nail! It's insanely stunning! Raisin is a smooth, metallic burgundy polish that is just magical. MAGICAL, people. I die for polishes like these, fall metallics and cremes always get me every time. Formula for this was actually really nice with the age, this is two coats. Did I mention that I love this polish? CAUSE I DO.

Have a great day!

Pretty Serious Cosmetics: Red Carpet Treatment

Allo!

We meet again! I have my final polish to share from Pretty Serious Cosmetics's Rooftop Soiree collection, Red Carpet Treatment. I love this whole collection so much, and the fact that Kaz and Ben threw a red glitter in the mix made it even better! There's just something about red polishes that I find retro, sexy, and glam. Add glitter? It's like a sexy party in a bottle! Red Carpet Treatment has a sheer red base that builds up really nicely with holo glitter and red irregular glitter swimming within. I love the squishy look this polish has! This is three thin coats with one coat of Gelous and one coat of top coat.

See you soon!

Pretty Serious Cosmetics: Cocktail Bar

TGIF!

I hope you all had a very, very happy New Year! We didn't do hardly anything, I worked until ten and my husband had a few friends over and they played video games and ate pizza. All in all, I was in bed right after midnight. Turning 30 took the wind out of me for going out for New Years, what can I say?! ONTO THE POLISH!

Today I have another polish from Pretty Serious Cosmetics's Rooftop Soiree collection, Cocktail Bar! I love this polish so much. I have glitter, I love green, and I love blue! So naturally this polish is perfection! Cocktail Bar is a teal jelly based polish loaded with teal, and blue multsized glitters. This polish really must be seen in person, the depth to this one is really, really insane! It reminds me of an aquatic scene or something. I got SO MANY compliments wearing this one too. This is three thin coats with one coat of Gelous and one coat of topcoat. If you don't already own this one, you need it in your life!

Have an amazing day!
