Nubar Prisms in Absolute

Hey all! I was a little hesitant to post these swatches. For some reason, rescently more than usual, my nails have been peeling. :/ which normanlly I can handle, but Choose Me! by essence STAINED THE HECK out of my nails & the staining reached to the inside my nails. It was awful! So, now I have lil nubs for a bit. Eh. Oh well, this is still an amazing polish. (FYI - it's my fiance's fave so far I think!)

Absolute is amazing to look at! I'm just now getting into holo polishes, since I'm a self-proclaimed newbie to the world of polish, and this is just fun to stare at! :D I will DEFINATELY be purchasing more Nubar Prisms in the future! I had to use 4 coats to get it where I wanted it to be, but it was worth the layering. :) These three shots were taken with the flash, my camera was goin NUTS with the outdoor sunlight shots. Here's the best ones I managed to capture. I'll have to figure my camera out for future holo swatches. :/

Pretty, Pretty, Pretty!

essence colour & go in Choose Me!

Happy Wednesday!
So I'm new at blogging, & forgot that Wednesday is Pink Day, OOOps! :P Don't worry, i still have a gorgeous polish for you today!
I actually still had on my RBL Ani polish (great wear!) but in the process of mailing polishes to my friend Rie, one of them exploded in the mailing envelope. Cleaning was a bummer. Hence, the new manicure. *shakes head*

So here we go! Choose Me! in a few different lightings :)

Choose Me! is wonderful! A teal jelly JAMMED PACKED with teal and gold glitter. It reminds me very much of Zoya Charla. Like Charla, in the sun it takes on more of a blue color and there is a visible nail line. I went with three coats. Hmmmm... a comparison may be in the future :) This was a my first time trying out essence, and for the 99 cents price tag and beautiful colors who can beat that???

essence colour & go polishes run for 99 cents a pop and can be found at Ulta stores or www.ulta.com

Rescue Beauty Lounge Ani

I can't possibly put into words how much I have fallen head-over-heels in love with RBL. The formula - flawless. Colors - drool worthy. I cannot express how much I am looking forward to purchasing more and more and more and more (you get the idea!) in the future. Even more impressive is the fact the the creator Ji lets you VOTE to get your fave colors back! My first to show you is Ani.
Ani is a shimmery taupe/nude. I love how it makes my short little nubs seem longer. AMAZING! I've never been a real fan of nude colors, I always went for the brights and the darks. Ji has so many amazing neutral colors on her site though, I just HAD to give one a shot. Two coats was enough to have sophisticated nails. Again, the formula was heaven.

I'll be show-casing my other RBL's for sure! For now i wanted to start off with this beauty! If you hadnt noticed, I'm a big fan.
You can purchase RBL's at Ji's website - www.rescuebeauty.com
They can be kinda pricey - $18/pop but I feel like it's more than worth it!

Deborah Lippman Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I FINALLY became the proud first-time owner of Deborah Lippman polishes! It was a defining moment for me, I must say. The first I picked out was the first I wanted to try. I'm a BIG fan of corals/oranges, so this one was a big no-brainer. Here we go! Indoor shots first.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is a STUNNING coral/orange creme. It was love at first sight. I noticed while swatching them it takes on a more coral look in the sunlight, indoor taking on more orange. I went with two coats. This is the polish I just wore on my vacation when I got engaged!!!!! <3 Time for sunny shots!:)
I was EXTREMELY pleased with my first Deborah Lippman experience. There were barely ANY chips/tip wear during my vacay. Only after hitting up the beach and scraping my hand on a rock did it finally give in. Two thumbs up!
The line of polishes can be purchased at www.Lippmancollection.com and also at fine department stores such as Nordstrom, Neman Marcus, etc. They retail for $16/solid colors & $18/glitters

Revlon Scented in Not So Blueberry

I was never too excited to try scented polishes. The thought of my digits smelling like assorted fruits never really fancied me. When Revlon, whose polishes I really love, came out with their line, I decided it was time to give it a shot! And boy am I glad I did!:D
Not So Blueberry is stunning! It's a highly shimmery lavender with a subtle blue undertone. Application was a little thin, but this baby was a dream to look at after! I needed 3 coats. The blueberry smell was subtle, lasting less then 24hrs and never overpowering.
Nice sunlight shots there! Revlon polishes can be purchased at mass drugstore/retailers nationwide. Prices may vary. Their polishes can also be viewed at www.revlon.com

Missha in GR002

Hello:) My next polish is Missha in GR002. The Missha polishes don't actually have names, just numbers. Not sure why :/
Anyhoo, Missha polishes are VERY reasonably priced. And for this Korean-based brand, shipping is very reasonable also. Here we go!
GR002 is a highly pigmented turquoise creme. This was a two-coater! In my opinion, not too thick, not too thin. Just the right amount!:) Even better? The bottom of the bottle is in the shape of a heart <3
Missha polishes can be purchased at http://www.misshaus.com/
Without sales the prices are still reasonable, but I've seen them go as low as $1.50/bottle, which is what i paid.

Welcome to Polished Claws Up! Cult Nails Living Water

Hello! This is my very first blog. Ever. So bear with me when i get the hang of it :D! I've been a fan of nail polish forever, but my love was brought to a whole other level when I ran into my friend Rie from NailsandNoms in May at a mutual friends wedding and, let's just say she inspired me, and the polish love took on a life of it's own. :)

My very polish to show you is Living Water By Cult Nails

It's okay, go ahead and chuckle to yourself. My first few swatches were a little sloppy. :P I'm getting better the more i do it. PROMISE!

Living Water just JUMPED out at me on the Cult Nails website. It was equally amazing when I got it on my digits. It's a black/deep blue jelly LOADED with fine green/turquoise glitter that REALLY does justice to it's name, it really looks like water with glitter swimming within. Living Water required two coats of Seche Vite since it dries very dull.

Ok, time for a sunlight shot so you can REALLY see the glitter!
Cult nails are $10/bottle at www.cultnails.com
I'll definately be purchasing more!
