Orly - Fowl Play

Good morning!

Today I have for you the notorious Fowl Play polish from Orly's Fall 2011 Birds of a Feather Collection. There is just so much going on in this polish that it made me so excited to finally get my claws on it! I was drooling over it after seeing it pop up on other nail blogs. Now it is mine! *maniacal laughter fades into the background*

When I first really looked at Fowl Play, I almost had to dissect it to figure out all that was going on! And trust me, there a lot! The base of FP is a deep purple jelly which almost leans to a red tone. Swimming throughout FP is blue & royal blue micro-glitter along with the wonderful orange-toned FLAKY GLITTER that makes this polish so unique! It's so fun to look at! I've read on blogs that FP is basically a dead-on dupe for OPI's Merry Midnight. Since MM is older and harder to get your claws on, I'm content with FP. :P I have to tell you though, application for this beauty was tricky. It's thick to apply and long to fulling dry, even with Seche Vite. Three coats.

Overall, I'm very happy to have Fowl play in my stash! Now I just need to go after Sweet Peacock from the Birds of a Feather Collection too! :)

Orly's can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply store/ Ulta stores for about $6-$8/bottle

Essie all in one base coat/ Seche Vite topcoat

  3. It's worth the wait and search if you can get your claws on it! Ulta had a display out by me in Cleveland, Ohio.
