Miki polishes.

Hey there!

Today I have a new brand to me, Miki. The ever-so-amazing Lani sent me these two polishes and an eye shadow from New Zealand. I had never heard of this brand until she sent me these. Click HERE for a link to their website - it is the CUTEST site EVER! I want every single fruit shaped lip-gloss!

First up I have #6 to share, an amazing teal/blue shimmer polish. I LOVE this color! It had such a shimmering depth to it. Miki's bottles are small, but the brush is really nice and their colors really pack a punch! This is two coats. Very smooth formula.

Next up I have #16. I didn't fall in love with this one as much as I did with #6, but it's still really cool. A deeper medium purple, #16 has sparse flakies mixed in there as well. The formula on this one was much more sheer, this is three coats.

Toma Snow Caps - Candy Cane

Happy Christmas Eve Day, dolls!

I can't believe the holidays are already here! It's sad that Jeffrey and I are going to be here away from our families, but it's nice to start our own traditions. Plus I volunteered to work Christmas for double time. :D MORE MONIES! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Today I have a polish from a Secret Santa (Can't say who yet though, the exchange isn't over yet! :p) to share! I've never heard of the Snow Caps line from Toma, but I was so excited when I unwrapped this bad boy! Toma has so many hidden lines I've come to learn, and a Christmas themed one makes it all the more exciting! Candy Cane is a pearlized pale pink polish with pink micro-glitter and white flakies. It's delicate and winter feeling! It was pretty sheer, this is four coats.

Have a fantastic Christmas Eve!

OPI - Merry Midnight

HI THERE!

I have to admit, as a polish lover - I don't own a whole lot of OPI's. After I sold quite a few in my blog sale over the summer, I don't even have a whole Helmer drawer full now. They always seem to only have one or two polishes (or none to be honest) from each collection that I really love. BUT I do love dusty hunting for those vintage and HTF gems they have out there! Now THOSE I cherish with my life! :D

Here's one of my faves - Merry Midnight. This polish came out in there 2009 Holiday Wishes Collection. (I also have Shim-Merry Chic) I found them both on a dusty. Of course we all know Orly Fowl Play is a dead-ringer dupe for Merry Midnight. As an avid collector, I sold my Fowl Play and hold my Merry Midnight close. The sheer shimmery plum tone goes so nicely with my skin-tone, and the flakies that flash from orange to green just add magic. This is three coats. Very festive indeed. ;)

I'll have to show you Shim-Merry Chic soon!

L'Oreal Jet Set Shine - Crushed Opal

Hey there, dolls!

Happy Sunday! Anyone have anything fun planned for today? I'm meeting a friend at IHop for brunch, going grocery shopping, and going to see The Hobbit. All in all, a really fun day indeed!

Today a have a VHTF vintage L'Oreal to share, Crushed Opal. I have three of these L'Oreal flakies, and as a collector I love owning them knowing they were made YEARS before flakies were all the rage! These might even be some of the very first flakies? Anyone know anything that I don't?

Crushed Opal is your typical flaky that flashes a rainbow of colors, mostly resting on green, purple, and orange. Think Finger Paints Twisted. I loved the wide brush on this. This is two coats over L'Oreal Blue Metal.

Have a great Sunday!

Aussie Fun! Australias Nail Colour - Flips Flops & Vampy

Hello there!

I hope you're all having a great start to the week! Mondays and Tuesdays are my long days at work, so I'm definitely ready for the rest of the week! Today I have two Aussie polishes from the lovely Lauren to share, they're from a brand that's new to me - Australias! OMG these polishes are awesome, instead of hidden shimmer they have hidden glitter flaky goodness! Formula was great on both, I really enjoyed the brush as well.

First up we have Flip Flops. HELL-O, YOU BLUE BEAUTY, YOU! Omg, this blue knocks my socks off! SERIOUSLY. Sorry for yelling, but OMG!!! Flip Flops is a few shades darker than what I call "Smurf Blue",  that fun blue that I just always seem to gravitate towards! What could possibly make it better?! Matching blue flakies! DUH! :P Two smooth coats.

Next up we have Vampy. I LOVE this color too! It's more mature than what I normally reach for, but that's the fun thing with swapping! You get your hands on polishes you wouldn't necessarily pick for yourself but you end up loving! Vampy is a pink toned wine polish with great orange flakies. It teeters on the fine line between a nice fall color and summer sophistication. Two coats.

Have a great Tuesday!

Nicole By OPI Fall 2012 Target Exclusive - For Gold Times Sake

TGIF!

I know I've said it before, but it feels really good to be back to blogging! Today I have another Nicole By OPI Target Exclusive for Fall 2012 polish from the lovely Ryan, For Gold Times Sake. I don't have anything like this in my stash and it really is unique! A green/brown/gold mixture of metallic shifts and flakies. I think there's even a little purple/blue somewhere in there!  I remember when I wore it it looked different to me depending on the light. It's just seriously awesome. I really enjoyed the formula. Two coats.

Have a great Friday!

Layering Fun - L'Oreal Crushed Amethyst & BYS Amethyst Metallic

TGIF!

For those of you who follow me on Intagram, I debuted today's manicure last week and it was a HIT! Here it is!!! I present to you, L'Oreal's Crushed Amethyst!

Now, before all of the crazy flaky maddness of late, years ago (mid 2000's? Right? Wrong?) L'Oreal rocked it with their flaky goodness! I have three to share (the others I will keep under wraps until it's time to share :P) but today we will start with this purple beauty. Crushed Amethyst starts off with a sheer lavender base LOADED with iridescent purple flakies that flash to a bright blue. OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE this combo! This is two coats over BYS Amethyst Metallic up next.

BYS Metallic is yet another great polish sent to me by the ever-so-amazing Lauren. I LOVE metallic line! The formula was a little thin, but not unmanageable. Three coats. <3

Have a great day! :)

fanservice nails - Castiel

TGIF, polish lovers!

Today I have the Impala's counterpart from yesterday's post - Castiel from fanservice nails! I love the idea behind this polish. The Tan color of Castiel's trench coat with the "shimmer" of angels wings. I think the concept is so well thought out! Castiel is a favorite character of mine in Supernatural, but let's face it - they're all my favorites since it's one of my favorite shows! :P The formula was tricky. The iridescent flakies made it hard for smooth application, but this is two coats with one coat of Gelous to even it out. I'm normally not a fan of neutral polish, but I REALLY enjoyed this tan with my skin-tone.

Soft and pretty!
What do ya think?

Essence Crazy Good Times Part 2 - Candyction & Paradelade

Time for day two!

Today I have two more fabulous polishes to share with you from The Crazy Good Times collection. I hope you all love this collection as much as I do. :) First up for today I have Candyction. I'm a little annoyed at how this color photographed. It's not as red as my pics would make you think - it's a vibrant in-your-face coral/orange polish loaded with matching flakies floating within. It's so bright and prefect for summer! This is two coats. FREAKIN LOVE!

Next up I have Hunt Me If You Can from the Vampires Love collection's twin sister, Colourbration. It's a smooth as can be black based polish with silver micro glitter. As common as these kinds of polish can be, I can't seem to ever get enough! I love black polish with glitter, they're the perfect mix of grunge and sophistication. SCORE!

Keep your eyes peeled for day 3 tomorrow!

Layering Fun - Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed & Artmatic Emerald City

Hey there, ladies!

I know you've all seen countless swatches and posts of my main polish in today's post, but who the heck cares?!?! It's that fantastic. Yes, that's right - I'm talking about Toxic Seaweed from Cult Nails! Maria's limited addition beauties are amazing (Unicorn Puke, anyone? SO glad I snagged a bottle back at the pre-sale!) and when they're gone - they're gone. So for any of you not yet convinced to snatch this green beauty up, hopefully my swatches will help convince you. Enjoy!

Toxic Seaweed is just magical to me. No better way to sum it up in my mind! A jelly sea-green base, (that's a color right? LOL!) filled with matching green glitter and orange flakies. I got a little burned out by flakies with the Finger Paints, but Toxic Seaweed has re-lit the fire in my heart for them all over again! The formula was smooth and easy to work with. This is two coats over Artmatic's Emerald City, which is up next...enjoy a few more glorious shots of Maria's genius before we move along.... :P

MAGICAL!

Underneath the magic lies this vintage polish - Artmatic's Emerald City. I own quite a few polishes by Artmatic, some of which I believe to be about 15 years old! I love each and every one for the unique colors for the time they came from. As much as I adore Emerald City for it's medium green color and amazing shimmer, this is seriously the most watery polish I've EVER worked with. WATERY. This is three coats, still worth it though. :)

Do you own Toxic Seaweed or any Artmatic polishes? -D
