Layering Fun: Revlon Top Speed Celestial FX & Sally Hansen New Lengths Mosaic Creme

Hey there, dolls!

Today's my day off, so I thought I'd actually post today LOL! I'm trying really hard to get back into the swing of things by posting every other day now. I miss the days that I could post everyday, but like just won't allow that right now. *sigh* Oh the life of a blogger. I feel like I've been out of the loop with the polish community for so long.

Anyhoo, today I have a layering combo to share that shows off one vintage polish and one brand new polish that just came out! Revlon, as you know, is one of my favorite brands EVER. Between StreetWear and their overall amazing-ness, that steal my heart over and over again. Today I have one of their new Top Speed glitters to share (which are now CORE! Yippee!) Celestial Fx. I love the concept of this polish! Silver micro-fine holo glitter with large star, moon, & diamonds. They were quite the pain in my you-know-what to fish out. This is one coat over Sally Hansen Mosaic Creme, up next!

Next up I have the undies of the manicure to share, Mosaic Creme. OMG I've been lemming after this polish for so long, and I was so happy to snag it from a blog sale. Mosaic Creme is a dusty slate blue/gray creme polish that has a stone cool feel to it. I don't know why but I adore this polish. So much. This is two coats.

Have a great Thursday!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Mermaid's Tale: DL Across The Universe Dupe!

TGIF!

I can't believe it's already Friday, this week FLEW by! I know I've been MIA on and off lately, but I've been slowly getting back into the groove. I love blogging more than anything, but sometimes when you loose that motivation it's better to take a step back rather then to push it.

As a vintage polish collector, I rarely ever get really excited about new release polishes. In my mind there's an endless supply of old polishes to rediscover and get excited about. But lately I've been getting REALLY excited about a lo of new polishes coming out! One of them that I NEW I had to have is today's polish, Sally Hansen's Mermaid's Tale. I've ALWAYS wanted DL's Across The Universe, and never had a chance to get my hands on Essence Blue Addicted. So when I saw the first pics of Mermaid's Tale I squealed and start my hunt! I found this bad boy at CVS for those of you who are on the hunt as well. Formula was a little on the tricky side. Very sheer for the first coat, and no matter how long I let the coats dry and how thin I applied them, it got goopy and thick. This is four coats.

Enjoy your Friday!

Maybelline - Zip Fly

Good Morning!

I hope you're all having a great week so far! Life's been pretty busy lately with working so much, planning a wedding, and trying to have a social life makes for one busy blogger! I don't want to quit blogging, so my posts just might not be every day - but I'll post as often as I can!

Today I have one of my favorite Maybelline's - Zip Fly. I have an obsession with SSN-esque polishes and this is on the top of the list! Zip Fly has that deep navy blue background with micro-fine silver glitter swimming within. The brush was wonky as can be though. Why this happens with old Maybelline gold caps I just don't know. Either way, LOVE LOVE LOVE. I *think* this is two coats.

Have a great day, all! <3

CM - Midnight Impostor

Hey there girls!

This is going to be a quick post, I'm running late. BUT I have a really great polish to share - CM's Midnight Impostor. We've all heard of this polish at some point, that beautiful starry night look that makes us go googly eyed! I still don't have SSN, and this helps to fulfill a little of that lemming. I got this from my wonderful vintage polish Secret Santa - I had had this on my wishlist forever! Formula was nice and smooth, and wear was pretty great. This is two coats. All in all, LOVE!

Have a great day!

Ulta3 Glitters - Part 1

Why hello there!

I've got something really awesome and special to share with you this weekend - Ulta3 glitters that I just got all the way from Australia from my lovely and generous pal Lauren! I knew I wanted them from the moment they started popping up on blogs and I'm so grateful I can now call them mine! THANKS AGAIN MY LOVE! *hugs polishes to my chest* I decided to break them up into two posts, today I have the first three to share.

First up I have Pot Of Gold. This is one of my favorites of the bunch! All of these glitters are clear-based and are a little on the stinky side. There's various sizes of gold glitter in the mix, and some of them have a nice, slight holo finish to them. This was one of the ones that applied the best after one coat. This is two coats over Hard Candy Normal. SO PRETTY.

Next up I have Disco Fever, a red multi sized glitter. I love red glitters so much. I think my obsession and love for all things Christmas just brings it out in me. This is two coats over Calvin Klein Tutu.

Last but not least for today I have New Years Eve. MAN I wish I had had this one to wear a few nights ago LOL! Another one of my faves, I love the lightness yet brightness of this blue multi sized glitter and I love it over silver! This is two coats over Illamasqua Glory.

Wait until day two tomorrow! :D

Miki polishes.

Hey there!

Today I have a new brand to me, Miki. The ever-so-amazing Lani sent me these two polishes and an eye shadow from New Zealand. I had never heard of this brand until she sent me these. Click HERE for a link to their website - it is the CUTEST site EVER! I want every single fruit shaped lip-gloss!

First up I have #6 to share, an amazing teal/blue shimmer polish. I LOVE this color! It had such a shimmering depth to it. Miki's bottles are small, but the brush is really nice and their colors really pack a punch! This is two coats. Very smooth formula.

Next up I have #16. I didn't fall in love with this one as much as I did with #6, but it's still really cool. A deeper medium purple, #16 has sparse flakies mixed in there as well. The formula on this one was much more sheer, this is three coats.

What do ya think?

Butter London - Black Knight

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all have a fun weekend planned - I'm working only a few hours this morning then I have season four of True Blood the fiance bought me to watch while I catch up on some much needed swatching! Today I have a polish from the lovely Amanda of Fashion Footing who was my Secret Santa on our Jingle Nail Rock swap this Christmas! Thanks you SO MUCH for knocking off so many items on my wishlist and spoiling me rotten!  I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! <3

One of my long time lemmings she squashed was today's beauty - Butter London's Black Knight. I have been DYING to own this bad boy ever since I first laid eyes on swatches when it came out last Fall 2011. Black Knight is every bit of awesome I knew it would be in person! A sheer, build-able black base with multi-sized gold, pink, and blue glitter. It's that perfect combination of vampy and fun all rolled into one. This is three thin coats. A tad on the thirsty side, two coats of top coats were needed. This may be my all-time favorite Butter London next to Wallis.

Have a great Saturday!

L'Oreal - Blue Metal

Hello!

I really need to start swatching more of my vintage L'Oreals. I have some really GREAT ones in my stash and I really don't give them enough time on my fingertips or on my blog.  I need to fix that STAT.

Today I have Blue Metal to share. HOLY METALLIC BLUE POLISH. WOWZA! I knew this was going to be beautiful on the nail, but MAN it's so amazing and in-your-face! JUST LOOK AT IT! Blue Metal has that perfect mixture of being deep and dark, yet having that bright shimmer in it! This is two coats. So amazing. GAH.

What are your fave metallic blues?

Nails Inc Special Effects Sprinkles - Pudding Lane

Hey polish lovahs!

Although this is Monday to all of you lovely ladies, I'm having a three day weekend so today is my second Sunday! It's okay, be jealous. :P

Today I have my NEWEST polish I've bought to share - Nails Inc Special Effects Sprinkles in Pudding Lane. OMG I went to the mall with Jeffrey Saturday and dragged him into Sephora. They were fully freaking stocked with all the Sprinkles. Alas, I had him with me and to him $9.50 is a lot for one polish (if he only knew. sigh. LOL!) so I only walked away with one since was with me. I LOVE THIS POLISH SO STINKING MUCH. Let's talk why, shall we? First off? The formula. I cannot rave enough about this formula. Smooth as can be, evens out perfectly, dried so fast. AMAZING. I am wearing it as I type up this post and I never want to take it off. EVER. Three smooth coats.

Anyone else have Sprinkles polishes? I need them ALL.
