Layering Fun: Revlon Top Speed Celestial FX & Sally Hansen New Lengths Mosaic Creme

Hey there, dolls!

Today's my day off, so I thought I'd actually post today LOL! I'm trying really hard to get back into the swing of things by posting every other day now. I miss the days that I could post everyday, but like just won't allow that right now. *sigh* Oh the life of a blogger. I feel like I've been out of the loop with the polish community for so long.

Anyhoo, today I have a layering combo to share that shows off one vintage polish and one brand new polish that just came out! Revlon, as you know, is one of my favorite brands EVER. Between StreetWear and their overall amazing-ness, that steal my heart over and over again. Today I have one of their new Top Speed glitters to share (which are now CORE! Yippee!) Celestial Fx. I love the concept of this polish! Silver micro-fine holo glitter with large star, moon, & diamonds. They were quite the pain in my you-know-what to fish out. This is one coat over Sally Hansen Mosaic Creme, up next!

Next up I have the undies of the manicure to share, Mosaic Creme. OMG I've been lemming after this polish for so long, and I was so happy to snag it from a blog sale. Mosaic Creme is a dusty slate blue/gray creme polish that has a stone cool feel to it. I don't know why but I adore this polish. So much. This is two coats.

Have a great Thursday!

Pretty Serious - Gargoyle Ganache

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I hope you're all having a fantastic start to your weekend! I'm throwing a baby shower tomorrow, I hope it all goes well!

Today I have my last polish I received from Pretty Serious's Monster Mash collection to share, Gargoyle Ganache. I still need to order the last two, but I'm holding off for a big order when they reveal their Christmas collection! Gargoyle Ganache is a complex creation indeed! I'm not surprised this bad boy sold out! It starts off as a smoky grey/purple base with strong duochrome colors flashes in the bottle and purple and green flakies that are brought out in the right light. This is two coats. It was a tad on the thick side, but it make for a nice opaque feel after just one coat.

Have a great Friday, girls!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Pretty Serious - Creature Crush

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween is my second favorite holiday to Christmas, not only to I love this holiday, but it means Christmas is getting closer! Eeek! :D

Today I have the honor of swatching my first polish from Kaz's Pretty Serious Monster Mash line, Creature Crush. From the moment I laid eyes on this collection, I drooled all over the place and anxiously awaited their arrival. The new holographic boxes with new, fun artwork?! I die! It was nearly impossible to choose which one to swatch first, but I ended up choosing this dark, smoky bad boy.

Creature Crush is a great polish for Halloween! It starts off as deep smoky charcoal gray base that is sheer but beautifully build-able. The fine micro glitter is a delicate silver and gray mixture. Swimming within is larger holo hex glitter. I was able to get a few on the nail, but they were a little tricky. Formula was smooth as butter, like all other Pretty Serious polishes. This polish is FAB.

Have a safe Halloween, everybody!

**This polish was sent in exchange for my honest review**

A few more from the Face Of Australia Barbados Collection!

Hello there polish lovers!

Today I have two more polishes from the ever-so-lovely Aussie brand Face Of Australia's Barbados collection. I adore each Face Of Australia polish I own since I'm in love with their brush and formula. They're outstanding. My dear and lovely friends Lauren has been hooking me up with polishes from the collection piece by piece. Thanks again, girl! You're a polishes lovers dream come true! :D

First up today we have Bright Lights, Pink City. Close to Pretty Serious's Claris, anyone? This is more orange toned I suppose. I LOOOOOOOVE this polish, it's a perfect summer shade! I'm even thinking of slappin' this on my toes as a last hoorah before fall really starts setting in here in Virginia Beach. The gold shimmer makes this such a knock out. Two coats.

Next up we have Party At The Gap. Not quite sure on the name here, anyone wanna give me a hint? ;p Party At The Gap is an odd shade for a summer collection, but hey it adds variety! Again, formula was amazing on this charcoal grey polish. The shimmer looks silver at first glance, but it's actually multicolored! (Think SH In A Flurry - that shimmer.) Two coats.

I still have more to share from this collection!

I'M BAAAAAACK - and with a BANG! - Pretty Serious Cosmetic's Dream Delight

Long time no see!

I can't believe I've been gone this long! We are about half way settled into our new place, but I just couldn't take letting my creative side lie dormant anymore. The place's looking great so it's back to bloggin' I go! I've missed you all so much! Feels great to be back. <3

I recently got my order from Pretty Serious Cosmetics new In The Night Collection. (AKA Kaz's brainchild, I never played the video game but I'm still in love!) I knew I'd love the ones I ordered but I was even more blown away when I saw them in person! (I can't wait to purchase the rest. New place is eating up all my money! *pouts*) Ah well. Next paycheck :P. ONTO THE POLISH AT HAND!

Dream Delight. You glittery little devil, you. Wow.Za. Believe me when I tell you that pictures do not do this polish justice. At the foundation is a smokey grey shear base LOOOOOOOOOADED with charcoal grey and sparse holo glitter. (Various sizes mixed in there might I add.) The formula was smooth beyond my wildest dreams and opaque after just two coats. Yet another pleasant surprise? It wasn't a crazy thirsty glitter either! This is one coat of Gelous & Seche Vite, it's as smooth as can be. Bravo, Kaz!

Glittery goodness. HECK YEA!

New Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes!

Good morning on this beautiful Sunday!

I've had the most wonderful weekend with my fiance. We cooked dinner together, did some day-time wine drinking while we started packing, and caught up on this season of Weeds. (HOMG. It's so good & I'm devastated it's the last season. :() Today we are meeting a friend at a bar on the ocean for even more day drinking LOL! Onto the polish!

I've been going ga-ga for Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's lately. The ones in my Helmer are getting new-found attention and I recently found these on a new LE display at my work (CVS)! I only picked up three, although I might be going back for another purple....hmmmm...

First up I have Freeze! Wowza what a GLOWING blue! It's JAM PACKED to the brim with bright blue mirco-fine glitter at almost appears as shimmer. Gah! I love this polish so much. One of my new favorite blues. This had the best formula of the three. Two coats, smooth formula.

Next up I have the disappointment of the bunch. Purple Haste looks like an amazing deep purple with blue & purple micro-fine glitter in the bottle. On the nail, it completely fell flat. Although I now realized topcoat would have helped immensely, which I did not use, it was dull and the micro-fine glitter didn't translate well. AND the brush was wonky and misshapen. I've seen better, Sally. Just saying.

Next up I have the front-runner of the bunch, In A Flurry. HOMG, Sally, do the damn thing! Seriously, this polish is jaw-dropping and reminiscent of the vintage Sally's I know and love. In A Flurry is a charcoal grey base, and LOADED (.....LOADED!..) with green and purple mirco-fine glitter. It is just stunning. This is two coats. LOVE!

Have a great Sunday!

Layering Fun - Lancome Vernis Absolu Boogie Nights & Essense Denim Wanted! Fivepocket Grey

*Jumps up and down while waving*

I'm going to try my best not to ramble on during this post, but I'm so exited about this combo. :D Oh, Lancome. I only have a few of your polishes, but this may very well be the crown jewel of what I have! This, ladies and gentlemen (maybe gentlemen? Hmm.....) is Boogie Nights. I know nothing about this polish except I saw it on Kaz's blog when I very first got into polish, and came across it on a blog sale a few months back. It's AH-MAZ-ZING. It's a mini-sized Lancome, and I may just up my left big toe for a full-size. Boogie Nights starts off with a dusty grey sheer base, jam-packed with small grey glitter. It shines in such a unique way. I have nothing else remotely close in my stash! Oh, does it sparkle and shine. *Fans myself* GAWD. LOVE. Two coats over Essence Denim Wanted! Fivepocket Grey.

Riiiiiiight?!
Here are some quick shots of the grey creme polish underneath the masterpiece, Essence Denim Wanted!'s Fivepocket Grey. I love this color, but I HATE HATE HATE this brush. It was so soft and flimsy it was hard to control. SUCKED. Ah well, still turned out great! Two coats shown.

Amazing right?!

Ulta3 - Twilight Fever & Lagoon

Good Morning!

I am one of the luckiest girls for the friends that I've made through polish and my blog. Most recent I met the lovely Lauren from Australia. She is just amazing and we have really formed a sweet friendship that I'm grateful for. I've always wanted to try Ulta3 polishes and this lovely gal hunted down a whopping ten for me! Her big heart knows no bounds. <3 Thanks again, Lauren!

First up I have Twilight Fever, a dupe for Chanel Paradoxel and Revlon Perplex. Twilight Fever is a grey-toned deep plum polish with pink/violet shimmer that really makes this polish what it is! The shimmer is more violet then pink, but in certain light it takes on the more pink. This is two coats. I really enjoy Ulta3's formula for being a cheap-y polish and can't wait to swatch the rest of my bunch!

Next up I have Lagoon to share. This is the one Ulta3 that Laurent picked out for me to add in our swap. Great pick, girl! I know I'm one of the only polish addicts on the planet we enjoy frost polishes, but I love the delicate lime green frost in Lagoon! I didn't realize how sheer thee two coats were until I uploaded these pics, so next time I'm going with three.

Do you have any Ulta3's?
