Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Cremes

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all have a great weekend planned! I work a short shift then we're headed over to our friends house. I've been really stressed out from work and been suffering from horrible headaches, so tomorrow I'll be taking it easy for SURE.

Today I have two vintage Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Cremes to share. Since I started collecting polish, my vintage SH stash has GROWN! What can I say? I'm a sucker for the matching handles. I've said it before and I'll say it again, BRING THEM BACK, SALLY!

First up today I have Racy Creme, a deep vampy brown creme. I've really been into shades like these lately. This is two coats.

Next up I have Trendy Creme to share. I LOOOOOVE this color! It dances on the fine line of beautiful and ugly just a little bit. I love the dustiness to the green. This is two coats as well.

Have a great weekend!

Hard Candy - Normal

Hey polish lovers!

Today my day off! Going out to lunch with a friend and hitting the gym! After that? WHO KNOWS?! ;D There will be some swatching involved is all i can say. I think I'm going to start doing pics of my stash as well. What do you think?

Today I have a vintage Hard Candy polish to share, Normal. This is a recent eBay score, and since I was the only one bidding, it was a STEAL. And in perfect condition might I add. Not a scratch on the bottle or stickers and the ring too! Normal is a fabulous, vampy burgundy creme. Formula was pretty fantastic after all these years. This is two coats.

Have a great day!

Cover Girl Boundless Colors - Red Revolution

Hey there lovelies!

I hope you all have a fun Saturday planned, Jeffrey and I are going to the mall to spend the day together. I seriously can't remember the last time we did that together!

Just a quick heads up, I'm back to little nubbins right now. Sometime I get a little tired of my nails being longer. Today I have my new favorite red to share! I first saw this gem on THIS POST from Kaz. Right after reading it, I immediately ran to eBay (the the virtual sense LOL!) and bought it for less then six bucks with shipping! If you look at Kaz's swatches, her color is much more true to reality then mine. I don't like the way it photographed. :( Ah well, it needs to be seen in person! Nothing makes me feel sexier then a good red creme polish. I can't believe I went so long never really wearing them! This is two buttery smooth coats.

Have a great weekend!

HALLOWEEN MONTH! Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers - Vamp Red

Monday, you suck. A lot.

I'm going to go with a vampy, dark polish to match my feelings for this day of the week LOL! Today I have a great blood red creme polish to share, Wet N Wild's Fantasy Makers Vamp Red. I believe this tomb stone polish came out a few years back, but I snagged it on a blog sale about a year back. I just adore these shaped bottles. Formula was pretty good, this is two coats.

Have a great day! .....stupid Monday....

Layering Fun - Smackers Blueberry Blast & Orly Obsidian Desire

We meet again!

I hope you're all having a great week, I've been having a blast with my mom and brother being here! I'm going to be so sad when they leave :(. Today I have such a fun vintage polish layering combo to share today, and it starts off with a Smackers polish, Blueberry Blast. Jacqui sent this glitter bomb to me, and I hope one day I can get my hands on more! I totally remember these when I was a kid, they're scented. I didn't let this dry long enough I think while swatching, because I didn't smell blueberry. Blueberry Blast is a navy tinted clear-based polish with a rainbow of mirco fine glitter. It has such a cosmic feel over black! This is two coats over Orly's Obsidian Desire, up next.

Underneath the amazing glitter I'm sure you're still gawking over, I have a vintage Orly to share - Obsidian Desire. I really miss the old Orly bottles. They just felt heavier and sturdier, if that makes sense. *Shrugs* Obsidian Desire is a great black creme, it was opaque in two coats. This may be my new favorite black!

If anyone comes across any Smackers glitters, send em my way! *winks*

Layering Fun - Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nuclear & Kleancolor Fashionista

Hey everyone!

Today is my day off! I'm going to get my hair cut, swatch, and continued to unpack boxes. Keep in mind, I'm adding wine drinking to the mix. :P Today I have another Sally Hansen Hard As Nails holo glitter to share, Nuclear. I LOVE these glitters, and this oddball color of the bunch just may be my favorite. I tend to adore "ugly" colors, they just make my heart melt! Nuclear is a dirty mustard yellow/olive green polish with a sheer base and holo glitter. I am seriously in love. Seriously. ;p These are older swatches, but I think this is two coats over Kleancolor Fashionista, up next.

The perfectly matching underwear underneath it all is Kleancolor's Fashionista. I LOVE THIS! Dirty olive green creme with yellow undertones. This may be one of my favorite Kleancolors I own. Once again, older swatches but I think two coats.

Any one else love "ugly" colors?

Essie goodness!

What's up, ladies?! (Gentlemen?.....hmm....LOL!)

Today I have just lovely Essie spam for ya. I tend to overlook Essie's newer collections. They all tend to be boring cremes or nothing to catch my eye. Except for the oldies of course. Ruby Slippers and Viva La Vespa have a special place in my heart and my stash. I really love these three Essie's though. Sometimes they get it RIGHT!

First up I have Pink-A-Boo. I'm going to go ahead and blame this one on Scrangie. I'm not much of a pink person, and when I do chose pinks, they're never delicate. This was a shock to me that I gravitated towards this one! Pink-A-Boo is from Essie's Resort Collection that came out this past Spring. It has a milky pink base with duochrome-y shimmer swimming throughout. (FYI - it was impossible to capture the shimmer correctly, this polish must be seen in person!) The formula was pleasant. Three thin coats.

There ya go, you can see the shimmer.
Next up I have one of my favorite Essie's of all time, Dive Bar. Dive Bar starts off as a black-based polish with teal shimmer. I love how it looks almost multi-dimensional on the nail. In the bottle is shows a duochrome effect around the edges of the bottle. It can be stubborn when showing up  on the nail. Man I love this polish. Vampy blue goodness. Two coats.

Last but not least I have Luxedo from Essie's Winter 2010 Collection. Rie hooked me up with this vampy gem over the winter.  OMG I don't know where to start. I DIE (DIE!) for deep rich cremes. I love them so much. Even in the Summer. I'm weird, I know. This is one of my FAVES. A deep, dark rich plum - perfection. (Although it pulls more brown in pics. Odd. Trust me, it's purple.) The formula was amazing as well. Almost a one-coater.

TOMORROW'S THE WEEKEND!

Random Swatches Day!

Hello there!

I had some unrelated swatches hanging out in my computer, so I thought I'd throw them all together and call it Random Swatches Day!

First up I have a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, Yellow Kitty. This color has been discontinued, and I bought it one clearance for the name LOL! I normally don't gravitate toward pastels at all, but I actually really enjoy it. This is three coats to fill in bald spots.

Next up I have a lovely vintage Lancome Vernis Absolu polish, Fleur Kaki. (yep, that's not a typo, that's how it's spelled.) I love vintage Lancomes, and this golden olive green is no exception. The formula is a litter watery, this is three coats. LOVE.

Last but not least, I have a newly acquired Revlon polish, a vintage LE Berry Rhumba. This is a one-coater, people! ONE. COAT. This raspberry creme polish flowed onto my nails perfectly. Buttery smooth.

Have a great Tuesday!

Essence Snow White Collection Part 4: Grumpy & Happy

Good morning!

Today I have the remaining two dwarfs I needed to complete my Essence Snow White collection! I know I'm a few weeks late, but here they are! Thanks again, Sabine - you're the BEST!

First up I have Grumpy. AH-MAZ-ING blue! Reminds me of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. It's just perfect. Not a grumpy color one bit LOL! :P The formula was on point as well, this is two smooth coats.

Next up I have Happy, a yummy, creamy butterscotch yellow creme polish. It's actually really lovely and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Two buttery smooth coats.

Did I ever mention how much I love Essence polishes? :)
