Nail-Venturous - Floam

I'm baaaaack!

Hey girls! I've been MIA lately, I know. My blog got freaking infected with all that garbage over the weekend, it was awful. I fixed what Google Webmaster Tool told me to fix and removed my blogroll, although I'm not sure that I should put it back up yet... anyone know if I can/should? I also just got home from vacation yesterday and I run out of backlogged posts. SO HERE I AM! And I'm back with Nail-Venturous Floam! I know, I know, you've been these swatches a million times. Well I don't care! A Twitter angel hooked me up and my long-time lemming was cured! Floam is a mixture of matte glitters in yellow, green, & blue. I think it represents the old toy very well.. even though it dried out in a day when I was a kid. Ah well! This is three coats with one coat Gelous and Seche Vite.

So fun!

Layering Fun - China Glaze Stone Cold & Naturistics Gleam

Hey ladies!

I know it's been a while, but it's time for me to bust out another Layering Fun post that mixes a China Glaze Hunger Games polish and a vintage glitter. :) These posts were so fun for me to do, so I thought it was time for another! I though it was really creative that China Glaze threw in a matte polish in their Hunger Games collection, I'm in love with the whole collection, but this one really stood out in a great way. Stone Cold's matte formula was FANTASTIC for a matte polish. Smooth as can be and this is ONE coat. ONE. Perfection. Well done, China Glaze.

To layer over Stone Cold I chose another Naturistics glitter to lend it some sparkle. I really love their glitters. Gleam is a clear-based polish jam-packed with holo glitter. This is one coat. Easy manicure! Two coats total for this layering combo. :) I'm impressed.

The Hungry Asian - Sneeze Breeze

Hey now! 

Of all the franken polish lemmings I have out there, the polish in today's post may be the one I had the longest. Before I started blogging and was simply spending hours and hours drooling over bloggers, I saw swatches for Sneeze Breeze. Sneeze Breeze is a fantastic creation of Kae over at The Hungry Asian. At the time, go figure, she wasn't making it. Finally she opened her Etsy shop and it was time for me to get my claws on a long time lemming! 

Everything about this polish makes me love it. First of all - it's a glitter. You all know how much I love me some glitter. It's one of my polish weaknesses. The fact the Sneeze Breeze contains a matte (that's right! no shine here! how unique!) robin's egg-blue and black glitter makes it the gem that it is. I have nothing like this in my stash and after yearning for the first so long I am thrilled to call it mine. This is the THIRSTIEST glitter I own to date. THREE COATS of Seche Vite and it was STILL a little dull. Who cares when it looks so dang good? Three coats.

Old and New - Maybelline Matte Grey & Zoya's Irene

Happy Saturday, everyone!


My allergies are out of control today, I hope everyone's feeling a lot better than me! I recently found a blog sale that had a slew of Maybelline's for only a buck a pop, so I naturally grabbed eight! :P I decided to start off with one of the Matte's that I got - Matte Grey. I don't own many matte polishes, and now I just don't remember why.

Matte Grey is awesome! I was surprised by how good the formula was - nice and smooth and dried relatively fast. I love the gunmetal color - it has a real edge to it. I added top coat for the next picture but I think I really like it more as a matte. This is two coats. 

Next up I have the newest member of my Zoya collection, Irene. I won this  on eBay and since I was the only one bidding, I got it for a STEAL! Basically just paid shipping. Irene reminded me of China Glaze's Zombie Zest, that murky color of green. It took three coats to get the opacity were I needed it to be. I really like the green Irene ended up being, a medium shimmery green. I just wasn't crazy about the formula - very running for Zoya.
