OPI - Germanicure

Happy Saturday, ya'll!

A lot of people here in Virginia say ya'll, so why can't a girl from Cleveland living here, right? :p Today I have one of the three polishes I snagged from this fall's OPI Germany collection. You guessed it - I got all the reds. My love for red polish knows no bounds. Today I have Germanicure to share with you, and man is it a beauty! Germanicure is a deep brown toned red shimmer polish. Formula was a tad on the thin side, but it really evened out and got opaque after the second coat. This polish to me screams fall and winter! I see myself reaching for this polish again and again for the months to come. I love fall and I love fall collections!

Have a great weekend!

Revlon Color Chrome LE - KhakiChrome

TGIF!

Today's the day!!! My mom and brother are currently on their way to Virginia Beach! I feel like I a kid at Christmas! *big goofy grin* :D No worries, they'll be here for a week but I have all my posts ready to go!

Today I have an amazing (and my first!) Revlon Color Chrome LE polish - KhakiChrome, KhakiZing's cousin. (Swatches to come soon!) My polish BFF Jacqui gifted me this gem. MAN looking back at these swatches remind me how much I love this gem! Oh vintage Revlons, you have my heart. Where do I start? Formula? Great AND it dried in a flash. Not to mention this is a duochrome that's actually a chrome LOL!  A metallic, shiny chrome at that! It shifts from a pink/mauve to a gold/copper. Obviously for the majority it stays in the pink/mauve side of things, but I tried to capture the gold/copper best I can. The bottle shot at the end really shows it off. Two coats.

See that color shift?
Have a great Friday!

Vintage Hard Candy - Luscious

Hi!

I hope you're all having a great day so far. Today's my day off, so more than likely right now I'm curled up on my couch either reading a good book, swatching some beauties, or watching Charmed and Supernatural. I love having days off during the week because of TNT daytime television. Plus I get to stare at Dean. *drools*

Anyhoo, today I have a great vintage Hard Candy polish that the lovely Jacqui sent me - Luscious. I love vintage Hard Candy and I love red polish. Add gold shimmer? SCORE! Seriously. Red polish is one of the riches, sexiest things a girl could put on her nails. I have so much red polish, but only a few with the gorgeous gold shimmer that Luscious boasts. The formula was really good, two smooth coats.

What are you favorites reds?

piCture pOlish - White Wedding by Llarowe

Hello there!

Today's Wednesday! Excuse my enthusiasm, but I worked all weekend and after today I have glorious days off to spend time with my mom and brother! They're coming to visit me for the first time to Virginia Beach from my hometown in Cleveland. AAGGHH I can't WAIT!

Today I have a generous and amazing gift from the equally generous and amazing Lauren. She is the best swappin' buddy out there and I love her to death! THANKS AGAIN MY LOVE! <3 <3 <3 She sent me White Wedding from piCture pOlish, the one from their new collection that I was DYING for! White Wedding is a milky white based polish loaded with delicate iridescent shimmer. So whimsical and just plain pretty! I'm in love! This is three coats.

Have a great hump day! :)

BYS - Through The Looking Glass from the Wonderland Collection

Hello, dolls!

Sometimes dreams come true in the world of polish. Sometimes these dreams come through from the generosity of amazing gals you meet in the world of polish. This post is a giant THANK YOU to the lovely Lani! You're the sweetest and I'm so grateful we struck up a lovely friendship. <3

BYS's Wonderland collection was something I drooled over almost immediately when I got into polish. Since I knew it was an Aussie brand and a collection from a couple years past, I thought I would just admire from afar. Lani was able to track down Adventures Of Alice (swatches coming SOON! I want to enjoy these both as full manis!) and today's polish - Through The Looking Glass. I'm crossing my lil' fingers that I get my mitts on Down The Rabbit Hole one day. (Black jelly with holo glitter - I could DIE!) Through the looking glass may look familiar - yep! - OPI's Absolutely Alice. I cherish my bottle of AA but I gotta tell ya, TTLG packs more of a punch in my opinion. It's a brighter, more vibrant blue glitter. I'll have to do a comparison post. I'm currently wearing this combo as I type this post. I might cry when I have to take it off. This is two coats over two coats of Wet N Wild Ink Well.

What do ya think? :P

Pretty Serious Cosmetics - Nightopia

Happy Monday! ........hmmmm....

I worked all weekend, so today feels more like a Wednesday or Thursday. To make today a tad more amazing I though I'd show off my current manicure, Pretty Serious Cosmetic's Nightopia from their new collection In The Night. Kaz is the mastermind and one of the sweetest chicks out there. Not to mention her blog and stash are like Area 51 of vintage polish. Pretty much my polish Bible and one big whopping lemming.

Today I have Nightopia to share, a fantastic green teal jelly polish with amazing green & gold shimmer. I now count this as one of my favorite greens. Ever. Formula was freaking amazing. I love the blue that peaks in around the edges, it really adds to the dimension. Two coats, smooth as a baby's bottom. Bravo, Kaz. Bravo.

Have a great Monday! Hang in there! :p

Retro Sunday Squared With Scholarly Nail - Vintage Hard Candy - Cloud & Cosmic

Hello there, ladies!

Jacqui and I had to take a short hiatis due to my moving and getting my life together again, but we're back now! Today we chose to do vintage Hard Candy polishes. Jacqui has the most AMAZING HC collection, so I know shes going to blow you all and myself away! The two I have to share today are actually both gifts from her! ;) They're both minis, so sorry in advance if the posture holding the bottles is the little awkward. :p

First up I have Cloud. OMG I was blown away by this one! Cloud is a sky blue metallic polish with flecks that shift from silver/white to gold. The name of this polish really holds true to it's airy look! So light and delicate. I was really happy with this formula, this is two coats.

Next up I have Cosmic. To be honest, when I think of a polish with the name Cosmic I think of a deep blue or black and holo glitter. What we have here is a slick light mauve/pink polish with micro-fine silver glitter. I love this color so much, but I think I'd love it more on me if I had a tan. I have total lobster hands with my fair skin! Once again, great formula. Two coats.

Don't forget to check out Jacqui's blog!
