Finger Paints Special Effects flakies - Flashy

Happy Monday! Well, at least for me. :) I'm off today!

Today I have my very last Finger Paints flaky to show you - Flashy! I know I'm a little late and separating this post from the pack, but as I have said before - so many amazing polishes, I sometimes get distracted. :P Flashy is the one flaky I almost would have passed on because of it's multiple dupes. (SH Hidden Treasure, Nubar 2010 to name a few) But, alas, I'm a sucker for these colors and I love it just as much as all my others.

Flashy started with the main color orange and flashes both yellow and green. To me it resembles a fire the way to glows. I love these Finger Paints flakies so much - I wish I had backups for them all. This is two coats over a black creme. (I cannot for the life of me remember which one though!)

Have a wonderful week! -Dana

Finger Paints Special Effects flakies - Twisted

HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!

As we speak I am back at home in Ohio sitting in my parents living room typing this post. It's going to be an amazing week. It feels more amazing than words can say to be back home. Sure, my room has been turned into somewhat of an office, but it's home. *Massive sigh of relief* :) :) :) I'm sorry, did I hear you say you wanted more flakies??? Well I have just the thing for you - Twisted!

Oh Twisted, just look at ya! You're the clear-based kid sister for Cult Nail's Unicorn Puke. You two are practically family. Twisted is freaking amazing! I KNEW it would be a favorite in the collection and boy was I right. Rainbow in a bottle. This is one of those polishes that looks so stunning in the sun that it distracts you while driving. Any one else or just me? :P This is two coats over two coats of Revlon's Devil's Lure.

Flaky madness has taken over.

Finger Paints Special Effects flakies - Motley - Take two!

Hey girls!

I really hope I'm not overdoing my Finger Paints flaky polishes - but I am seriously infatuated with them. Seriously. After I swatched Motley the first time over DL's Dark Side of the Moon, a few days later I decided I wanted to swatch it over black, Nail Fetish black creme. It blew my mind. This is my favorite of the bunch, so it deserves two posts. Don't get me wrong - they are all flippin AMAZING but this one just speaks to me the most. What do you think?

Oh Motley, Motley, Motley. *Swoons* Something about you reminds me of one part the ocean at night and one part glow in the dark paint I had as a kid. I have never posted one polish twice, but this combo was too stunning to leave out. If I ever get the chance, I'm grabbing a back-up. :P

Finger Paints Special Effects flakies - Flecked

Hey dolls!

I decided to move right along with the Finger Paints flakies since I just love them so much! Today I have my second favorite of the lot - Flecked. Why a favorite you may ask? There's flakies in my two favorite colors for polishes - green and blue! Make it chunky pieces of flakies? SOLD! :D

For Flecked I got to bust out with one of my MANY black polishes - this time Nail Fetish's black creme. I feel that since I am always searching for the perfect black polish there is nothing wrong with having too many. This is two coats of black creme with two coats of Flecked. :P Flecked seriously glows! It's just amazing (and distracting...hehe) to look at. LOVE!

Finger Paints Special Effects Flakies - Motley

Hey polish lovers!
Today I have my second Finger Paints Special Effects flaky polish, Motley. My favorite!!! I have been having a total blast with this flakies. They are all amazing - if you see them - SNATCH THEM UP!!! You will not regret it! :D Promise!

Motley has smaller flakies compared to the rest of the collection I thought. Still stunning as ever though! Motley is a mix of blue/purple flakies and green flakies. This is two coats over two coats of Deborah Lippman's Dark Side Of The Moon. I wanted to contrast Motley and steer away from applying it over black and I love the way it turned out. I loved it so much it was my full mani after swatching. :)

Finger Paints Special Effects flakies - Asylum

Happy Sunday and Happy New Years!

Last night was a stressful New Years Eve to say the least, I won't get into all that but let's just say 2012 isn't starting out the way I want it to. Alas, I have so many pretty swatches stored up on the computer and I don't want to neglect the blog. I recently was lucky enough to get my hands on the entire set of Finger Paints Special Effects flaky polishes! The first Sally's I tried didn't have them and the lovely lady working called around until she found them for me! Had to drive a half hour there and back, but totally worth it! The first one I have to share today is Asylum - enjoy!

I think I might have been the most excited about Asylum due to the crazy flaky combo within this bad boy! It's a mixture of blue/purple iridescent flakies and orange/yellow flakies that flash to green. It's really amazing to look at! This is two layers over two layers of OPI Russian Navy.

Flaky goodness!
