Sally Hansen Sugar Coat - Sweetie

Allo!

Whelp, it's settled. I officially need each and every Sally Hansen Sugar Coat polish! They're so awesome! I had always thought that I would hate the grittiness of these types of polishes, but I gave them a shot anyhow. I'm so glad that I did! I love the pastel yellow color, I love the formula, and I love the look! It's gritty but not too gritty, and I think it's pastel yellow shade is great for summer. This didn't chip or show tip wear for almost over three days. I really love this one, and I can't wait to try out more! This is two coats.

I can't wait to try more!

Cutex from Kaz!

Well hello there!

Today I have four Cutex polishes sent to me from Australia from my ever-so-awesome pal, Kaz. I first began drooling over Camouflage when I saw her post HERE, and she offered to gift them to me. THANKS AGAIN, GIRL! :) Let's get to the best first, the drool-worthy Camouflage. Holy crapola. Serious. This golden green is so glowing and amazing I wish I had a whole vat of it to swim in. Seriously, a TUB. I'm in all sorts of love. Two coats.

Next up I have Slime. Very confused by this name for a pale yellow polish. Perhaps the pigment changed over time and it used to be a polish green not yellow? Hmmmmm..... this polish was patchy and wouldn't even out no matter how many coats I applied. I *think* this is three.

Next up I have Mauve Lightening. Mauve. Isn't that more of a purple shade and less of a frosty light pink? Just curious. Two coats. I think Kaz pretty much explained this one best on her post. :p

Last but not least I have Brown Berry, which to me is a mauve color! I actually REALLY love this color with my skin tone! Formula was pretty great on this one too, this is two coats. I'm thinking pedi color!

Gave a fun weekend!

Layering Fun - Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Nuclear & Kleancolor Fashionista

Hey everyone!

Today is my day off! I'm going to get my hair cut, swatch, and continued to unpack boxes. Keep in mind, I'm adding wine drinking to the mix. :P Today I have another Sally Hansen Hard As Nails holo glitter to share, Nuclear. I LOVE these glitters, and this oddball color of the bunch just may be my favorite. I tend to adore "ugly" colors, they just make my heart melt! Nuclear is a dirty mustard yellow/olive green polish with a sheer base and holo glitter. I am seriously in love. Seriously. ;p These are older swatches, but I think this is two coats over Kleancolor Fashionista, up next.

The perfectly matching underwear underneath it all is Kleancolor's Fashionista. I LOVE THIS! Dirty olive green creme with yellow undertones. This may be one of my favorite Kleancolors I own. Once again, older swatches but I think two coats.

Any one else love "ugly" colors?

Nicole By OPI Target Exclusive for Fall - Mer-Maid For Each Other

Happy Hump Day!

This past August a group of lovely ladies and fellow bloggers participated in a 2012 Nail BFFs Gift Exchange - AKA Christmas in August! The wonderful Amanda organized this Secret Santa and it was a blast! I had so much fun shopping for my draw and I was AMAZED when I opened mine! The GENEROUS and AWESOME Ryan over at Naild In The South got me. She's a fan of my blog and simply spoiled me rotten. Not only that, but she's an awesome chick and we even exchanged digits to text! Icing on the cake to amazing polish? Hand made Alcide bookmark and card. (My True Blood crush!) and lots of Hello Kitty gear. Now to the polish!

Ryan was so awesome she included who polishes from Nicole By OPI's Target Exclusives for Fall 2012. The whole collection has such range in finishes and colors and this bad boy was one I knew I would love! Mer-Maid For Each Other is a vibrant green metallic polish that flashes a duochrome of blue, yellow, and gold. It really glows and stands out on the nail! I really enjoyed the formula more than I thought I would. This is two coats. I got so many complainants. I knew these types of greens are all over the place now, but I adore this all the more. Love.

Have a fantastic day, ladies! (and gents?...)

Random Swatches Day!

Hello there!

I had some unrelated swatches hanging out in my computer, so I thought I'd throw them all together and call it Random Swatches Day!

First up I have a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, Yellow Kitty. This color has been discontinued, and I bought it one clearance for the name LOL! I normally don't gravitate toward pastels at all, but I actually really enjoy it. This is three coats to fill in bald spots.

Next up I have a lovely vintage Lancome Vernis Absolu polish, Fleur Kaki. (yep, that's not a typo, that's how it's spelled.) I love vintage Lancomes, and this golden olive green is no exception. The formula is a litter watery, this is three coats. LOVE.

Last but not least, I have a newly acquired Revlon polish, a vintage LE Berry Rhumba. This is a one-coater, people! ONE. COAT. This raspberry creme polish flowed onto my nails perfectly. Buttery smooth.

Have a great Tuesday!

Retro Sunday Squared with The Scholarly Nail - Vintage Sally Hansen glitters!

We're baaaaaaack!

We've taken a bit of a break, but we are back and read to rock and roll! Jacqui and I have missed our Retro Sunday Squared posts so much! For today we'd thought we'd start things off with a bang with Sally Hansen glitters. First up I have Solar Power, one of my newer glitter additions from eBay. Solar Power is a FANTASTIC summer yellow glitter! It's very sheer so I layered two coats over Sally's Complete Manicure Yellow Kitty. It is jam-packed with holo glitter, making this a fun, sunny look! LOVE.

LOVE.
Next up I have a fun bar glitter (YAY!) to share, Pink Champagne! This is another newer polish I bought from the same seller on eBay. I have a bar glitter obsession so I fell in love right away! I love the mixture in this one, tiny pink glitter mixed with three different colors of bar glitter - pink, gold, & lavender. I think next time I might pair this with a lighter shade of purple or pink. This is two coats over Essie Luxedo.

Party in a bottle!
Don't forget to check out Jacqui's post today!

Essence Snow White Collection Part 4: Grumpy & Happy

Good morning!

Today I have the remaining two dwarfs I needed to complete my Essence Snow White collection! I know I'm a few weeks late, but here they are! Thanks again, Sabine - you're the BEST!

First up I have Grumpy. AH-MAZ-ING blue! Reminds me of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. It's just perfect. Not a grumpy color one bit LOL! :P The formula was on point as well, this is two smooth coats.

Next up I have Happy, a yummy, creamy butterscotch yellow creme polish. It's actually really lovely and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would! Two buttery smooth coats.

Did I ever mention how much I love Essence polishes? :)

Old and New - Revlon Charmed & Borghese Rapido Limoncello

Good Morning!

I hope you're all having a great day. Today I have a FANTASTIC Revlon polish to start off my Old and New post - Charmed. I don't know much about this polish other then that it's LE. Oh and that it's unique and beautiful! Charmed is a rust colored polish with glowing green shimmer. I don't have anything like this in my stash. LOVE! This is two coats. *stares longingly at that shimmah!*

Next up I have one of Borghese's Rapido polishes, Limoncello. Limoncello is a lime green based polish loaded with yellow shimmer. I really enjoy Borghese's brushes and the formula on this bad boy was on POINT. Two coats.

Have a great day!
