Catrice Cosmetics - Dirty Berry

Happy New Years Eve Day!

I hope you all have a fun night tonight planned! Unfortunately I work ten hours today and ten hours tomorrow. :( The holiday pay is awesome, but I have to take it easy and go home early at a party we're attending. Ah well. What are ya gonna do?

Today I have a polish my buddy Paulina over at The Gore Princess sent me, Catrice's Dirty Berry. Thanks again, girl! OMG I don't know why it took me so long to swatch this gem, I LOVE IT! Dirty Berry is a medium-toned dusty lavender holographic polish. It's like magic on my skin-tone! I really need more Catrice polishes in my life, I think I only have four or five. Formula was pretty great, this is three coats to even out.

Be safe out there tonight!

Catrice - Genius In The Bottle *pic heavy*

Happy Hump Day!

Today I have an AMAZING gem to share with you ladies that I'm sure you've seen swatches of floating around - Catrice's Chanel Peridot near dupe, Genius In The Bottle. My lovely and wonderful blogger bud Sabine hunted down this lemming for me, you should really check out her blog! Her swatches are perfection and her blog will leave you drooling! <3 you, girl!

Ever since I first saw Chanel's Peridot, I knew I was in love. I was not, however, in love with the price tag. I was still a nail newbie and didn't grasp the concept of Limited Addition yet. Thank goodness for all the dupes floating around out there and thank goodness also for great polish friends. In that I am truly one lucky gal! Let's take a look! :)

So, I don't have Peridot or any other dupes, my comparisons are based on what I see online with swatches. Genius In The Bottle may not be an exact dupe (leans more to the golden yellow side) but man it's close! The color array in the bottle doesn't translate all the way to the nail, but that's fine by me! GITB shifts mostly just from green to gold, the metallic affect is stunning! The formula was surprisingly sheer, but after three coats we reached what I consider perfection.

Let's check out some amazing bottle shots! Enjoy!

Catrice - Sold Out For Ever

Hey girls!
It's my day off, so before I swatch and catch up on my Supernatural comics, I though I'd share one of my few Catrice polishes, Sold Out For Ever. I got this beauty in a swap with my gal Sabine. It is said to be a dupe for Chanel's Jade, and I'm a sucker for Chanel dupes! Enjoy!

Sold Out For Ever is an amazing sea-foam green creme polish. It just screams Spring to me! I only own three Catrice polishes, and I love them all. The formula is great and I really enjoy the brush as well. SOFE is such a great color, and added to it (and hard to photograph) is a wonderful green hidden shimmer. A+, Catrice! LOVE! This is two coats.

yummy shimmer!
Have a great Thursday!

Old and New - Loreal Bijou Gems B. Strong and Catrice Lost In Mud

TGIF!

It's time for another Old and New post! First up I have a polish that I am MORE than happy to call one of my all-time favorite greens! B. Strong comes from Loreal's discontinued Bijou Gems. I AM SO FREAKIN IN LOVE! Look and prepare to be amazed! (This instantly reminded me of a color my friend Jacqui would love!)

Highly pigmented? CHECK! Blazing lime green metallic color? CHECK! Opacity perfection in two thin coats? CHECK! Glows from within? CHECK! I need a back up. Or two. Or three. AH-MAZING! I want to snatch up every single Bijou Gems.

Next up I have my very first Catrice polish, Lost In Mud. I got this polish from a blog sale and have a couple more on their way to me from Germany in a recent swap. Can't wait! :D I love discovering new brands.

Lost In Mud is a murky - you guessed it - mud colored brown jelly/creme polish. I really loved the squishy look and feel to this polish. This is two coats although after uploading pics I realized I could have gone with three.
