Stash Shots! Nail Fetish

TGIF!

I hope you've all got a fun weekend planned - I'm working on Saturday but Sunday is my fiance's 29th birthday! Taking him to his favorite pizza joint and going bowling with friends!

Today I have my vintage Nail Fetish collection to share. I remember when I started working at Walgreen's in 2000, these were awesome! Fetish also carried great lip liners and bubblegum flavored lipgloss to name a few. I've been reliving my years from the Dollar Store - a GOLD MINE for vintage polish at times! Enjoy!

Nail Fetish - Captive

Hello!

I own A LOT of Nail Fetish polishes. A LOT. I love them now and I loved them as a pre-teen in the 90's. Over the last winter the Dollar Tree was swarming with these nostalgic polishes. Over time I scoured all the Dollar Trees in the area and even scored some on blog sales! I think I have well over a dozen now! I'm not sure how many there are total floating out there so it was a great surprise when Paulina sent one to me that I didn't have! Thanks once again, girl! :)

Today I have Captive to share. I thought Alien and Storm were my two favorite Nail Fetish's, but now I think this gem is! LOOK AT THAT SHIMMA! Captive is a medium muted, yet bright sky blue polish loaded with silver shimmer. It's just so pretty. Two coats.

Have a great day!

Old and New - Nail Fetish Dude & Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat Antiqued Gold

Hey ladies!

Today is - yes, you guessed it - another Old and New post! I have a great Nail Fetish to start things off, Dude. I can't help it, every time I see this polish I think of The Big Lebowski. (A favorite movie of mine.) This polish is freaking AH-MAZ-ING. Deep, vampy blood-red polish with red shimmer just screams sexy to me! Smooth formula. Two coats. LOVE!

Next up for my New part I have *gasp!* a crackle polish, Sally Hansen's Crackle Overcoats in Antiqued Gold. I know, I know, crackles have been run into the ground, but after wearing Morning Java, I really thought this would look great over it! I was RIGHT! I don't care I love the way this looks and it may have peaked my interest once again.

Have a great day, ladies!

Old and New - Nail Fetish Alien & Wet N Wild Chrome Grew Up In Cobalt-imore

Why HELLO THERE!!!

Today is yes, that's right, another Old and New post! I have two great polishes to share today, up first I have one of my MANY Nail Fetish polishes. These polishes are very special to me and dear to my heart since I owned quite a few as a tween-ager. Their polish embodies that 90's, an era I love with a passion to this day. Today I have Alien to share, one of my favorites from Nail Fetish for SURE! Alien is a vibrant in-your-face medium green polish with a slight frostiness to it. It's green polish greatness. Two coats, nice and smooth.

Next up I have one of Wet N Wilds new Chrome polishes, Grew Up In Cobalt-imore. I had been on the search for this display, but the only one I found was really, really picked over. I ended up only getting this one, and I thought this price was pretty steep for Wet N Wild - $3.99. They're prices for LE's have really been going up..... anyhoo. Formula was FANTASTIC! This is one coat. ONE! Formula was smooth as can be. I love this vibrant cobalt blue metallic very much!

What do ya think?

Layering Fun - A England Elaine & Nail Fetish Pixie Dust

Hi!

I hope you all had a great week - work has been nuts. Sheesh! :/ To brighten things up, today I have an amazing purple polish to share - A England's Elaine from the Mysticals collection. I've had this deep, smoky purple lovely in my stash for a while now, back when Adina was having one of her sales. I normally am not a fan of cremes by themselves, but this polish completely stands on it's own SO WELL! The formula with Elaine, as well as all of Adina's creations are - as you all know - completely perfection. Seriously - perfection. There's no other way I can think to describe it! :P This is easily a one-coater. As I can never seem to stop there, this is two. I tried to capture it in different lighting for you. :)

And of course - seeing as I can never leave well enough and alone and have an issue with glitter - I layered one coat of Nail Fetish's Pixie Dust. I came across a slew of Dollar Tree's with Nail Fetish's a few months past and stocked up and every single one I could! One of the first I picked up was Pixie Dust. I've tried to research more on these polishes, but one can imagine what Google pulls up for "Nail Fetish". I had no such luck, other than I believe they're from around the same time as Street Wears. Sure, it's clear base has turned a murky grey, but when layered over a dark beauty like Elaine one can hardly tell! Plus, when there's multi-sized holo glitter involved - WHO CARES?! :D

Vintage glitter. Gets me every time.

OId and New: Nail Fetish in black creme & Revlon Devil's Lure

Back to work today. *sigh* Vacations go by way too fast.

Today in my Old and New post,  I continue my search for the ultimate black polish. I pulled out one of the many Nail Fetish polishes I found at the Dollar Tree last month. I do like the formula, but my search continues. Onward!

This black creme is your pretty standard, run of the mill black creme. A little streaky and a few bald spots. Ah well. I thin it'll be great for layering. This was two coats.

Next up I have Devil's Lure from Revlon's fall 2011 Masquerade Ball collection. This lovely has sat in my untrieds for ever and now I really just don't know why at all! I am in freakin LOVE, man! It's a juicy, vampy, deep red jelly polish with ever so slight silver glitter. It's very sparse and hard to see but it's amazing when you catch flashes of it. This is two coats.

See it? :D

Thanks for looking! :)

Finger Paints Special Effects flakies - Flecked

Hey dolls!

I decided to move right along with the Finger Paints flakies since I just love them so much! Today I have my second favorite of the lot - Flecked. Why a favorite you may ask? There's flakies in my two favorite colors for polishes - green and blue! Make it chunky pieces of flakies? SOLD! :D

For Flecked I got to bust out with one of my MANY black polishes - this time Nail Fetish's black creme. I feel that since I am always searching for the perfect black polish there is nothing wrong with having too many. This is two coats of black creme with two coats of Flecked. :P Flecked seriously glows! It's just amazing (and distracting...hehe) to look at. LOVE!

Have a mentioned I love flakies?

Old and New - Nail Fetish Storm & Beyu 209 (the "crappy" one)

*Waves* Hi!

Does anyone else remember loving Nail Fetish polishes when they were younger? I know I had quite a few. During one of my recent Dollar Tree trips I came across nine more of these throw-back polishes! SCORE! It was hard to pick one to swatch first to show you, but ultimately I chose Storm. Here it is!

Storm is a blackened teal shimmer polish with blue undertones. I just love it! Nail Fetish polishes are very unique and quirky colors - one of the reasons I loved them so much as a teenager. This polish did not disappoint and I can't wait to swatch the rest! This was two coats.

Now we come to the "ugly duckling" polish. Floating around out there is Beyu 209, a dupe for Clarins 230 AKA Unicorn Pee. This, ladies, is the "crappy" version of 209. I saw this version on a blog sale for either a dollar or two. I knew it was the "crappy" version, but I was compelled to try it anyway since I don't own any Beyu polishes. For the price? Why not? Still a pretty polish!

"Crappy" 209 is a bright red jelly-based polish swimming with red and gold shimmer. I'm a HUGE red polish lover, so this was right up my alley. I know it's not the real thing, but it's still pretty!
