Chanel - Gold Lame

Happy Hump Day!

Today I have a Chanel to share - Gold Lame. I can count my Chanel's on both hands, but I really love their polishes! (HELLO, LUNA!) This, ladies and well....ladies, is an example of LOOK UP SWATCHES BEFORE YOU BUY! I bought this from a blog sale over the summer, and I'm not sure I would have dropped the 17 bucks if I had done so. Ah well.

Gold Lame is from Chanel's 2010 Noir et Or Collection. (Think Black Satin &  Illusion d'Or Le Vernis.) I don't hate this blonde gold polish, I just don't like it with my skin-tone. At all. I think it would be MUCH prettier on someone with darker skin! I'm also not crazy about the brush strokes. On the plus size, I do love the festive feel of this polish. Reminds me of a holiday party! This is two coats.

Pretty, just not for me.

Chanel Rouge Noir (AKA Vamp)

Hey girls!

Let's make the most of a Monday (...*sigh*...) and check out a classic Chanel polish! I know I've mentioned it before, but I'm addicted to Chanel polish. My wallet for sure limits me, LOL, but what I can get a good deal - it's game on! Today I have Rouge Noir (AKA Vamp) to share. If you read my blog on a regular basis, you'll know how much I love vampy polishes. The deeper and darker the better! Make it a blood red polish? Ever better! I can think of no better example of this than Rouge Noir! This is the iconic polish that Uma Thurman wore on Pulp Fiction (Check it out HERE!). It has been a cult classic ever since. Two coats of sexiness.

Have a fantastic day!

Chanel - Peridot

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

First off, I have nubbins and I freaking LOVE THEM! I think they might be here to stay for a while! Second of all, I am officially addicted to Chanel polish. Something about their polish is so luxurious feeling. Don't get me wrong, some of my favorite polishes cost 99 cents or less, but I've been accumulating more Chanels lately and their colors just make me so warm and fuzzy inside. I had been lemming Peridot for a year now and up until now could never fork over the cash. Thank goodness for my great Aussie friend Lauren we hooked me up with this gem for only fifteen bucks! No joke, I am wearing Peridot now and I never want to take it off. Ever. One of my top polishes. TRUE LOVE. I'm a duochrome nut, and the way this shimmery metallic shifts from gold hues to greens just makes me stare and stare. This is two coats.

I know what you're all thinking - there's so many dupes out there including OPI! Alas, I am officially a true collector, and nothing tickles my fancy like the original. Orly Fowl Play? Sorry, I just found OPI Merry Midnight. In the blog sale ya go! Speaking of blog sale, I'm moving in September and am revamping my previous blog sale and adding four times the amount I had before. MOAR monies for more CHANELS! :D

Have an amazing Friday!

Chanel - Luna

WHO IS READY FOR MY FIRST CHANEL POST?!?!

Sorry for yelling, but I'm really excited to show you today's polish and manicure! Up until recently I always overlooked Chanel due to the cost. (Even though I finally have Peridot on it's way. It was only a matter of time, LOL!) Now that my main focus has been to cut back on buying and only keeping my eyes open for rare gems - Luna was calling my name and I couldn't say no! :D No regrets here! Luna runs for about a hundred bucks on evil bay and I paid only thirty. (With blog sale money, might I add.) Luna is a very sheer pearly pink base (made only for layering IMO) with CRAZY blue shimmer! I layered two thin coats over Borghese's Stellare Notte. The way it glows is impossible to capture in picture, it must be seen in person. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I'm officially a Chanel girl! Cobra and Holographic, one day you WILL be mine.

Endless layering possibilities!
What are your fave Chanels?
