Sally Hansen Nail Prisms In Blush Diamond

Feels good to be baaaack!
Decided to take my Friday night and do whatever I want since the fiance is working. So I ate Chipotle, swatched my butt off, and am going to curl up with a good book. *kicks feet up followed by deep, relaxed breath*

I acquired this AMAZING HOLO from my friend Heather. She gave it to me under the STRICT stipulation that I give her a shout out on my blog. So here it is - HEATHER I LOVE YOU TO PIECES THIS POLISH IS GORGEOUS!

I've seen The Sally Hansen Nail Prisms throw-back polishes on Amazon and I'm sure they're on Ebay, but Heather held on to this beauty all these years just to give to me. It was meant to be!

This polish speaks - and sparkles - for itself. The deeper and deeper I dive into the world of nail polish the more I realize that as amazing as the new holos are out there, the older throw-back ones are breathtaking also! I mean just LOOK at this amazing pink holo with all the rainbow. I'm in love.

You can bet I'm going to be keeping my eyes open to snatch up the rest of there beauties! If you see them, get them!

Revlon Carbonite

Hey there! Sorry it's been a bit, it's been NUTS trying to see everyone before we move in a month. :/ It's hitting me finally that I'm moving from Cleveland to Virginia Beach. Oh, well. New adventures with the fiance and dog! Here we go with my beloved Carbonite!

I love it when Revlon does their "Backstage Revealed" Collections. They always produce wonderful colors. (Here's talkin to you Perplex and Black with Envy!) When I first saw Carbonite online I knew I had to start searching. I had a GREAT haul at a CVS/Pharmacy in Medina, Ohio - I found a FULLY stocked Wet N Wild Dream Weavers display and this beauty! One happy girl here! I LOVE THIS POLISH! Let's look! --->

The best way I can think of to describe Carbonite is a blackened dense silver polish bordering on almost a slight gold shimmer. The consistency was great. I think it might be on the tippy-top of my favorite Revlon polishes. I've read reviews online that it's a dupe of Chanel Graphite, but alas, I'm not yet a Chanel polish owner. Soon though I hope! Two coats and I had perfect opacity!

If you ladies see Carbonite, GRAB IT! I hear it's easiest to find at CVS/pharmacy's, but it's been a tricky one to spot.

My Engagement Ring Manicure!

TGIF, ladies!
So, I got engaged July 21st and due to sizing issues, I just NOW got my engagement ring BACK! So I decided it was time to tribute my gorgeous ring by doing a matching manicure! It's my dream ring, my birthstone Sapphire has been my favorite stone forever and I've always loved vintage looking rings. My fiance Jeff hit the nail right on the head! :P Here we go!!!

I finally chose my blue for my Engagement Manicure, I picked aruba blue by essie. I love this blue sooo much, this is my first time using this polish, it just glows! Now that we sell essie at my work (CVS/Pharmacy) I've begun QUITE the essie collection! This is two coats. I wanted a nice silver glitter to match the diamonds on my ring, I chose Sparkling Diamonds by LA Colors Color Craze (bottle is numbered BCC 555). I love this glitter, only one coat and soooo much glitter comes off the brush. I love how it has large hexagonal glitter along with small glitter.

I'm so pleased with how this turned out! *pats self on the back* essie polishes can be polished as I said before at CVS/Pharmacy or salons for around $8/bottle. La Colors Color Craze can be at Dollar Tree for, well a dollar! They really do have a great selection!

Pink Wednesday! Kleancolor - Pink Lady

Happy Wednesday, it's my first pink one!

I've never been a pink polish girl. I've ALWAYS gravitated toward funky colors/darks/jellies/neutrals, but recently I decided it was time to try to be a pink polish lover! So, since I'd never tried Kleancolors, I got three pinks from them! :P I have for you Pink Lady!

Hey if you're gonna go pink, go all out! :D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pink Lady! I did it on both my fingers and toes, and I must say it might be my go-to pedicure color from now on. This is a yummy, VERY opaque pink (one coat would have been enough, but I am just in the habit of applying two) with a white shimmer that just glows! Now I've heard the the Kleancolor holos can be really really stinky, but the fumes for this baby wasn't that bad at all.

Sinful Colors - Open Seas

Hey there dolls!
Today I have for you a polish that has been sitting in the bottom of my untrieds since maybe May/June. I'm slowly getting there with going through them all, & since summer's slowly coming to an end, I thought I'd pick summery colors for my next few posts. I have for you Open Seas by Sinful Colors!

I'm not going to lie, when OPI Pirates of the Caribbean:Stranger Tides collection came out, I was thought "eh". I bought the Silver Shatter cause, let's face it, I was obsessed with shatters at the time! The only color that really stood out to me was Mermaids Tears, but never brought myself to forking over the OPI price tag.
THEN I saw that sinful came out with almost exact dupes of the entire collection (minus silver shatter) I knew it was time to try it out!

Overall, I liked this light turquoise creme polish. Application was a little runny, but I was good at two coats. Sinful tends to be either a hit or miss with me, and this was a hit. Now I kinda wish I had Mermaids Tears to compare. :/

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Bikini Bottom

Hello again!
I couldn't help but do two posts today because this polish is by far the queen of my collection. I fell in love with this polish from the first time I put it on and find myself reaching for it again and again and again...well you get the point! :P
Bikini Bottom is just a delicious polish. A sheer light blue watery jelly polish that is perfect for summer! Every time I go to pick a color, my eyes always wander over to it. Usually I wear a white base underneath, but today I decided to try it sheer the way Ji intended it to be worn and I love the results! RBL never ceases to amaze me thus far, making the splurge for the polishes an awsome investment.

I know this post is picture heavy, but I just can't help but show it off! This is three coats, normally I do a white base with two, but I really love it much more sheer with three. Man this polish rocks!

essence Blossom etc... in Forget-Me-Not

Hello there! Back from my mini-vacay AKA getting me and the fiance settled with our jobs and house in Virginia Beach, September 25th is the big moving day! Feels good to get back in my at-home routine. :)
Today I have for you a limited addition polish from essence, Blossom etc... Forget-Me-Not, a whimsical light lavender with blue shimmer woven throughout. I saw this display at ULTA and just fell in love with the spring/summery color. It was very picked over, so thank goodness there was one left for me!

UNFORTUNATELY the sun was not my friend today in the time I had and this was the only outdoor shot. Doesn't this polish just glow? I love it! :P I used two coats, the brush was tricky due to the long wand and access polish dripping down. Overall, this formula was pretty average I'd have to say. Not too thick, not too runny.
