Butter London - Black Knight

Happy Saturday!

I hope you all have a fun weekend planned - I'm working only a few hours this morning then I have season four of True Blood the fiance bought me to watch while I catch up on some much needed swatching! Today I have a polish from the lovely Amanda of Fashion Footing who was my Secret Santa on our Jingle Nail Rock swap this Christmas! Thanks you SO MUCH for knocking off so many items on my wishlist and spoiling me rotten!  I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! <3

One of my long time lemmings she squashed was today's beauty - Butter London's Black Knight. I have been DYING to own this bad boy ever since I first laid eyes on swatches when it came out last Fall 2011. Black Knight is every bit of awesome I knew it would be in person! A sheer, build-able black base with multi-sized gold, pink, and blue glitter. It's that perfect combination of vampy and fun all rolled into one. This is three thin coats. A tad on the thirsty side, two coats of top coats were needed. This may be my all-time favorite Butter London next to Wallis.

Have a great Saturday!

Butter London - Bluey

Hey girls!

Today I have a Butter London polish I got when Ulta was having their their buy one, get one free promo. This makes a mere four BL polishes I own now! :P So far I'm very pleased with them! Here is Bluey!

Bluey slides right into the same category with Essence's Choose Me, Zoya's Charla, & Wet N Wild's Teal of Fortune. That almost sheer teal/blue shimmery, glass-flecked polish that seems to pop up all over the place! I'm not complaining - I own them all! I just thought that Bluey was darker in the bottle. Oh well - now I need to have an epic comparison post someday! I do love the formula brush and formula, very easy to control! This is three coats. The sheer jelly-like finish leaves a very yummy look to Bluey!

Layering Fun - Butter London HRH & Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Strobe Light

Hello!

This morning I have the mani I wore on my birthday! :D I had rescently gotten HRH during a nail board meetup's swap with some amazing ladies and my mom gave me Strobe Light as an early birthday present! I proved to be a cheerful, festive combo! What else says happy birthday like glitter? :)

I tried my HARDEST to get good shots of the holo glitter in Strobe Light, but it's been nothing but rainy & cloudy lately! I did my best. Either way you can tell it's beautiful!

HRH is one of my new favorite purples, I'm so glad it came to be mine during our wonderful swap. I've always been drawn to a great purple polish. Strobe light is a scattered holo glitter polish that comes with the slightest light pink base. I love any holo glitter, really, but this one applied great in just one coat.

I'm hoping to start putting up more layering posts soon. I hoped you enjoyed!

Butter London - Wallis

Happy Sunday ladies! It's 3 weeks away to the day for the big move! CRAZINESS! I've been packing like a machine and making lists of everything I need to do before we leave. It's exhausting. One most make time for swatching and blogging, so I'm doing my very best to keep up! :)

Today I have a polish for you that's been on the tippy-top of my lemmings list ever since I first saw it pop up on other nail blogs. I kept my eyes peeled but everywhere was sold out. I was just about to order it online, when they opened a BRAND NEW ULTA (*wallet screams*) right down the shopping plaza from where I work. I went the day after it opened, walked straight to the Butter London display, and low and behold, *Que epic music* there was my long lost Wallis! You're going to love him! :D

I. Am. So. In. Love. With. Wallis. I mean just LOOK at him! :D Duochrome; olive green and a GLOWING gold & an almost yellow with a sort of foil feel to it. It's amazing to look at and distracting to wear while driving. It's THAT stunning! This is my first Butter London purchase, and the application was really nice with this polish. It was a two coater. Did I mention I love this polish? :P

Time for some sunlight shots -

Overall, this is one of my favorite polishes that I own to date, and I can't wait to try more Butter London polishes. Although for the $14 pricetag, they'll have to be as intruiging as Wallis. Butter London polishes can be purchased at Ulta or online at  www.butterlondon.com
