Layering Fun - Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Cyber & Naturistics Lime Aboard Creme

Hello!

Remember when I promised to show off all seven of my Sally Hansen Hard As Nails holo glitters? Time for the second one - Cyber. This is the one I definitely wanted the most. (Other then Magnet. Bright blue. Still need.) I still can't get over how awesome these are with their hold glitter, colored base, and matching handles. :)

Cyber is a lime green sheer based polish with holo glitter. These are all very sheer, so I'd say they're all best for layering. This is two coats over Naturistics Lime Aboard Creme. Wait until you see what color it was originally - Cyber completely changed up the color!

Here's the underwear of the manicure - Lime Aboard Creme! Look at how different the base color is without Cyber. It has almost more of a mint green feeling mixed in with a lime green tone. Three coats for evenness.

What do ya think? :P

Layering Fun - China Glaze Stone Cold & Naturistics Gleam

Hey ladies!

I know it's been a while, but it's time for me to bust out another Layering Fun post that mixes a China Glaze Hunger Games polish and a vintage glitter. :) These posts were so fun for me to do, so I thought it was time for another! I though it was really creative that China Glaze threw in a matte polish in their Hunger Games collection, I'm in love with the whole collection, but this one really stood out in a great way. Stone Cold's matte formula was FANTASTIC for a matte polish. Smooth as can be and this is ONE coat. ONE. Perfection. Well done, China Glaze.

To layer over Stone Cold I chose another Naturistics glitter to lend it some sparkle. I really love their glitters. Gleam is a clear-based polish jam-packed with holo glitter. This is one coat. Easy manicure! Two coats total for this layering combo. :) I'm impressed.

See ya same time tomorrow!

Layering Fun - Wet N Wild Be Jeweled The Crown Is Mine over Naturistics Aura Pearl

TGIF!

I hope everyone's week didn't suck. Weeks tend to fly by for me, but this week seemed to drag more than usual..... so mine only sucked a little. LOL :D Anyhoo, it's Friday and I'm actually going out to a bar on the Oceanfront tonight with a coworkers. First time I've gone out (other than dinner and a few drinks/movie with Jeff) since I moved here - I'm excited! What to wear, what to wear.....

ONTO THE POLISH! I recently spotted the one and only display of the China Glaze Prismatics dupes - Wet N Wild Coloricons Be Jeweled collection! Sad thing(s) - it was less than half full and I haven't seen one since. I'm on the hunt for more! The first I have to share is The Crown Is Mine. The main glitter that makes up this polish shifts from a light purple/pink (in most lighting) to light blue with scattered rainbow glitter. I cannot tell you how awesome these polishes are and how happy I am that I found them, even if not all! LOVE! Dried to a rough finish, this is two two coats of Seche Vite. This is two coats over Aura Pearl.

Well done, Wet N Wild.
Next up I have Naturistics Aura Pearl. MAN I get weak in the knees for red-based purples with blue-toned shimmer. I can never have enough. Aura Pearl is just fantastic the way it glows from within. Pictures really do not do this polish justice. Ya gotta see it to believe it for real! This is two coats I believe. *note to self = you need a backup!

Gets me every time.
Have an awesome Friday! -Dana

Layering Fun - China Glaze Dress Me Up & Naturistics Icicle

 It's Monday?!? What happened?! LOL

I can't believe this weekend is over!!! I bought a new car, (Jeep Compass) saw The Hunger Games, and did some amazing thrifting! All in all, I'm sad it's over! Today I have yet another polish from China Glaze's Hunger Games collection - this time it's Dress Me Up. I know from reading other blogs that not everyone has been crazy for this polish, but I LOVE IT! Isn't it odd how sometimes you're drawn to polishes that surprise you? I couldn't resist it's warm mauve tone to the polish and I'm so glad I bought it! This color lands on the best side of the color spectrum, steering clear of being a grandma color. I love it with my skin-tone and the creme formula was just fabulous! This is two smooth coats.

How do you make is even more beautiful?!? THAT'S RIGHT! ADD VINTAGE GLITTER! Today I added two coats of Naturistics Icicle, a lovely clear-based glitter with micro-fine silver glitter. It really lends an delicate, romantic feel to Dress Me Up. I love Naturistics glitters. A LOT. :D

Have a great week! -Dana

Old and New - Naturistics Super Shine Pink Flirt & Wet N Wild Mermaid's Cove Sea Witch

Hey polish lovers!

Today I have a color of polish you don't find very often on my blog - pink. But this isn't just any pink. First of all it's a vintage Naturalistics polish. Second of all it's not just any pink. It's a "punch you in the face it's so bright and vibrant" pink. :D Now this is a pink polish if there ever was one! Here is Pink Flirt.

Pink Flirt is a crazy bright pink with glowing purple shimmer. This is definitely the most fun a pink can get. I'm thinking a go-to pedicure color. This was two coats.

Next up I have a polish from the much lemmed after Mermaid's Cove collection from this summer. Wet N Wild has so many amazing LE collections, and they are usually impossibly hard to find. I didn't get my hands on the whole collection, but this was by far the standout for me. Here is Sea Witch! Sea Witch is a dark purple based polish loaded with glowing purple and blue shimmer. This was two coats if I remember correctly.
