Maybelline Express Finish - Fuchsia Fling

Sorry this post is really late! It's snowing here in Virginia Beach AKA pandemonium has taken over and people don't know what to do! Myself being from Cleveland, this ain't nothin'! I'm snuggling up for the night with my DVR and finally taking some time to swatch for the first time in weeks!

Today I have another Maybelline vintage gold cap polish to share - Fuchsia Fling. It's just so freaking awesome! The base is a sheer fuchsia base LOADED with shards of fuchsia and a very minute amount of silver glitter. It's so stunning! It actually wore REALLY REALLY well! I wore it four days with minimal chipping/tip wear. This is three coats.

Maybelline - Zip Fly

Good Morning!

I hope you're all having a great week so far! Life's been pretty busy lately with working so much, planning a wedding, and trying to have a social life makes for one busy blogger! I don't want to quit blogging, so my posts just might not be every day - but I'll post as often as I can! 

Today I have one of my favorite Maybelline's - Zip Fly. I have an obsession with SSN-esque polishes and this is on the top of the list! Zip Fly has that deep navy blue background with micro-fine silver glitter swimming within. The brush was wonky as can be though. Why this happens with old Maybelline gold caps I just don't know. Either way, LOVE LOVE LOVE. I *think* this is two coats.

Retro Sunday Squared With The Scholarly Nail - Maybelline Baha Blue

Hello there, lovies!

Jacqui and I are back! I really miss doing these posts with her so I really hope we can keep it up! Life really gets in the way of blogging sometimes! We both LOVE vintage gold cap Maybelline polishes, so we really wanted to share special gems from our Helmer drawers. I'm already drooling over the Electric Apple she posted, it's been on my wish list FOREVER and she's so lucky to have it in her stash! 

Today I have Baha Blue to share. IT'S FREAKING AWESOME! I bought this on a blog sale over the summer, why the HECK did it take me so long to finally swatch this?! Rich, velvety CRAZY BRIGHT turquoise metallic polish that just pops! Looking back it really makes me miss having this polish on my tips. That shimmer that pops through is so vibrant! The brush was wonky as can be on this brush, I had to re-swatch like two nails. This is two coats.

Maybelline Express Finish - Shooting Star

I love glitter. A LOT. I love layering glitter. A LOT. I love vintage polish. A LOT. Let's just roll those all together for today's post, shall we?

Maybelline Shooting Star was one of the very first vintage Maybelline glitters I bought over a year ago and I'm not sure why but I never swatched it until now! WWHHYY?!?! It's freaking amazing, man! It might be one of my all-time favorite glitters EVER actually! Shooting Star is a mixture of fine silver holo glitter and blue bar glitter. I cannot wait to ear this again! Two coats over China Glaze's Blk-Bila-Bong. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds - Cherry Carats

Duuuuuude? Monday already?! Not cool, not cool.

I'm grateful for the wonderful weekend I had, but I'm so sad to see it go! Today I have a cheerful polish to share to perk up my mood - Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds in Cherry Carrats!

I had wanted this polish ever since I saw it on this post from my polish BFF Jacqui. eBay prices were too steep so as generous as she is, she sent me a decant! My patience paid off when I came across a polish/lipgloss set on eBay & I was the only person bidding. I paid FIVE BUCKS! It was seriously meant to be. Cherry Carats is a vibrant cherry red jelly polish packed with pink micro-fine glitter. It's such a juicy polish and one of my new favorite reds EVER! This is two smooth coats. LOVE!

Maybelline Express Finish Glitter - Bolt Of Blue

Good morning!

It feels great to be back (LOL I was gone a whole three days! :P) I missed blogging for sure! Today I have a great Maybelline Express Finish Glitter to share, Bolt Of Blue. I knew there was a blue in this collection, but I didn't know I would find it for four bucks with shipping on eBay! I LOVE it! The iridescent base shifts from light blue to a heavy purple shimmer, give it a very magical feel! Swimming within is a mixture of light blue and silver micro-fine glitter. Ugh I want to wear it again just looking at these pics! Two coats.

Maybelline Express Finish - Twinkle Twinkle

WHO'S READY FOR MORE MAYBELLINE GLITTER?!

I can't help but show off yet another amazing vintage Maybelline Glitter - Twinkle Twinkle. I recently got this from a blog sale. These older glitter tend to need a dab of thinner, but after that we were in business! Twinkle Twinkle is a SSN like polish - the deep blue shimmer polish blanketed in fine silver glitter. I love polishes that mimic the night sky! MAN I love this polish. Anyone else own Zip Fly? They're pretty much twin sisters. I'll have to do a comparison post someday. This is two coats. WWHHYY doesn't Maybelline make glitter like they used to?! DANG.

Maybelline Express Finish - New Year's Blues

Hey dolls!

Vintage Maybellines are among my favorite polishes, make them glitter and I go ga-ga! Maybelline has some FANTASTIC glitters out there, I've posted a few in the past. Today I have an eBay score, New Year's Blues. Bidding persistence paid off! New Year's Blues is a great cobalt blue shimmer polish with turquoise glitter. What a concept! I LOVE it! This is three thin coats. *Note to self, swatch Twinkle Twinkle soon!* :)

Old and New - Revlon Sphinx & Maybelline Be Scene In Green

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I hope everyone's weekend is going well! We are spending the day apartment hunting - this should be fun! :) I have an Old and New post for share today, and my polish for the Old section is a gift from the lovely Esther - Revlon Sphinx. OHHHH MAN! I've been on the hunt for great new nude polishes, and this is on the tippy-top of the fave list! A creamy nude polish with pink shimmer, it reminds me of Essie's Demure Vixen. Only it looks much creamier? Make sense? LOL Hope so! This is two coats.

Love that shimmer!

For the new section, I have a polish that I blame entirely on Kaz. In a good way! :D As I've mentioned in the past, 99.9999% of my lemmings are her fault. LOL! As soon as I saw this post of hers, I immediately ran over to eBay (or clicked..) and paid a mere $3.49 WITH SHIPPING. What a steal! Be Scene In Green is just amazing. This baby GLOOOOOWS green with golden shimmer. It's freakin' stunning, ladies! Two coats. YOU NEED THIS POLISH IN YOUR STASH!

Maybelline Express Finish Glitter - Far Out Fuchsia

 Hey girls!

Today is going to be a quicky post, I'm still on vacation back home in Ohio and I have a beautiful day planned with Melt with my bro and dusty hunting with Jacqui! What a rough day, indeed! LOL! My quick NOTD from last week I have to share is one of my beloved Maybelline Express Finish Glitters, Far Out Fuchsia. WOWZA. If you love a vibrant in-your-face pink glitter, this polish was made for you! These glitters are all so amazing and on my wish list for a reason - they really pack a glitter punch! Far Out Fuchsia starts off with a bright magenta base, LOADED with fuchsia glitter. Glides on smooth, this is two beautiful coats. The way this shines leaves me almost speechless. O_O No other words needed! Enjoy drooling... :P

Old and New - Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds Jewel's N' Berries & OPI Princesses Rule!

Hey polish lovahs!

Today's another Old and New post! I'm starting off with a Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds polish, Jewel's N' Berries. I have a few from this line and I've always wanted more. This is where the lovely Lauren swoops in! She included this beauty in our recent swap. Did I mention yet she's the best? Jewel's N' Berries is a deep magenta polish LOADED with shimmer and micro glitter. Just gorgeous. Formula was still nice and smooth with time. Final verdict? I need more Wet Shine Diamonds.  Lots more.

Weird things happen as a polish lover. I normally fall head over heals for anything strange colored, vampy, green, or glittery. As of late, I've been craving delicate shades. After I read Scrangie's post on OPI's Princess Charming collection, I decided I need them all. A blogger pal had a blog sale & I came across Princesses Rule! *jaw hits the floor* It's such a perfect pink crystallic sheer polish. I love how it catches shades of silver and almost blue in some light. This is four coats and worth every one! This may very well be one of my favorite OPI's. Now the search continues for the rest. :P
