Revlon Spice It Up Holiday collection in Decadent with flaky pumpkin polish

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!

It's finally here! This is my first year not dressing up since Jeff and I just moved to Virginia Beach and don't have much to do other than pass out candy. :(Last year we were Jack and Sally from the nightmare before Christmas and the year before Ghost-busters. I hope every else has a wonderful time dressing up this year!

Today I have the last of my pumpkin polishes - the elusive flaky polish that I just COULD NOT find anywhere! Thank God my dear Jacqui heard my cry for help and sent it to me for my birthday. You're the best, girl! :)

This is surely one of those polishes that is pretty is pictures but GORGEOUS in person! It has a purple sheer jelly base packed with iridescent purple and blue flaky glitter pieces. If I ever came across this one again I'd grab as many back-ups as I could! Now, beware, when I first opened the bottle it was SOOO goopy that I thought it was a failure, it literally globbed off the brush. After shaking the bottle up, we were good to go. It does dry kind of funny, some of the pieces needed to be patted down the the brush because they were sticking up.

Now I know this is a Halloween post, but I couldn't resist pairing that flaky beauty over a new holiday polish! This glowing purple beauty is Decadent from Revlon's Spice It Up Holiday 2011 collection. I saw this display at CVS and couldn't resist getting every single color. This blue based purple polish was one of the first that caught my eye with this lovely collection. It seriously glows from within! I LOVE IT!!! This is two coats of perfection. I can see myself reaching for this polish over and over again!

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers in Black Magic and pumpkin moon glitter

Happy Sunday, ladies!

Keeping the theme running by doing - yes, you guessed it! - another Wet N Wild Fantasy Maker and pumpkin glitter combo! What can I say - they're a match made in Halloween Heaven! Today I have one of this years Fantasy Makers, Black Magic and a holographic moon glitter pumpkin polish. :) Makes for a fun mani!

Black Magic is a black jelly polish with a mixture of gold, copper, and green(ish) shimmer. Look familiar? Black Magic is a toned-down version of Black Mail. Not that I'm complaining, I love Black Mail, just not very original. :/ Ah well! Application was good, two coats were needed. Oh, and I'm a sucker for the tombstone cap. :P

I won't lie to you - I have complaints and I have positives with this pumpkin polish. The good? It's so unique! I mean holo moon glitter? SOLD! Always fun adding a first to your stash! The bad? Application was a pain in my BUTT! It took so many tries getting the moon glitter out. Very aggravating. So much work for a great payoff. So I'll call it a toss up!

I bought my Fantasy Maker at Ulta for $1.99 and my pumpking glitter at RiteAid for $1.99

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers Purple Potion & True Color Flormar holo glitter

Hello there everyone!

Happy Saturday! Today I'm pairing Purple Potion with an amazing little glitter that my lovely friend Amanda sent me for my birthday! (She's spoiled me!) Enjoy!

Purple Potion is the classic black Wet N Wild creme swimming with fuchsia glitter. Does it looks familiar? Once again with this year's collection, Wet N Wild toned down an already existing polish - this time it was Night Prowl. The formula was the same as always with Wet N Wild's cremes but man the brush SUCKED! It was scraggly and almost unmanageable. Ah well!

This is my first experience with True Color's Flormar glitters - I love trying new polish brands! a clear light pink base, this beauty is loaded with holo glitter and this is two coats!

I bought my Fantasy Maker at Walgreens for $1.99

Cult Nails - Unicorn Puke

AAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!

Today, I am not just doing a happy dance. I am just completely flipping out with excitement while flailing about! I was one of the lucky gals to get their hands on the pre-order of the infamous and much anticipated Unicorn Puke! MAN was I lucky too, it sold out within minutes after I got mine! My bottle was marked 49 of 275. When it came in the mail, I literally just stared at it. Just stared. :p Let me show you why!

I really and honestly don't know where to even begin to start. I mean, JUST LOOK AT IT! My imagination just runs wild with the possibilities! They are seriously endless! I ended up layering this rainbow in a bottle over Essie's Luxedo - pairing it with a dark color was an amazing choice! I was so excited about Unicorn Puke that I forgot to snap some shots. It's a gorgeous polish - you'll see swatches in the future! Unicorn Puke is a vibrant purple jelly polish JAM (and I mean JAM!) packed with flakies that range from purple, orange, green, pink, and blue. As I said, rainbow in a bottle! Freaking Amazing. This is three coats over Luxedo. Simply not enough can be said of this beauty. I'm one lucky girl and I know it!

I really just could have taken pictures all night, just kept on going! I can't wait to share what layering possibilities I come up with in the future!

Wet N Wild Ice Baby Color Icon collection - Back Alley Deals & China Glaze Indian Ocean

 Good morning, my lovely followers!

I have had a rough week. My Twitter account got hacked, I can't access anything to changed my password or do anything with my account. Twitter support is awful. I think I may have to create a new account. WHICH means starting all over again. Big. Bummer. Really. Big. I'm very sad about it. :( Alas, polish life must go on! Today I have one of the four Wet N Wild Ice Baby Color Icon polishes that my lovely friend Rie sent me, Back Alley Deals. Rie, you're the best!

I only asked Rie to get me four of the eight glitters - and BOY I think I need  might need the remaining four! :p With fine vibrant purple glitter and hot larger fuchsia glitter pieces, I can't wait to swatch the rest of these beauties! I have to add though, that these are very thirsty glitters - I still haven't quite figured out the right glitter topcoat combo without it getting sucked in. Ah well!

And now the beauty behind the glitter!
Indian Ocean was a beautiful older China Glaze polish that my amazing friend Jacqui sent me (along with lots of other fun polishes! THANKS, GIRL!) for my birthday. I have the biggest soft spot ever for older polishes and this baby was such a surprise! Indian Ocean is a stunner! It's a black-based jelly/creme polish with a duochrome feel to it of purple and blue. LOVE IT! This was two lovely coats.

Hedy's ma.nish.ma. holgraphic nail color in Blaster

Hi there!

*Turns on megaphone* Attention all lower-cost nail polish brands - looking at you, essence! - you cannot take a sheer duochrome polish and market it as a holo polish! Not fair! Still a very pretty polish indeed, but not what it promised. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE! Had to get that out. Riteaid's brand they carry Hedy's jumped on that band wagon. Only thing is - still a gorgeous polish. Here is Blaster!

With a polish this glowing, who cares if it's not what it says it is? Blaster is a light purple jelly (very sheer) with a mixture of light blue and lilac shimmer creating a duochrome affect. It's a GREAT polish for layering in the future, I just chose to wear it alone so I can see what I'm working with. And what I'm working with is very sheer, indeed - this is 4 coats. Next time I'm layering this one.

There were four colors in this collection, the others were a pink, white, & silver. They can be purchased at Riteaid for $1.99/bottle

Essie - Jelly Apple

Well hello there!

Today, ladies, I'm gettin back to my roots! Before I started my full-blown polish addiction, my number one go-to color was red! I loved it in every shade, it always made me feel sexy! Since starting my blog and discovering everything that's out there in the world of polish, my first love was buried. Until now! I'm going to starting digging out all of my old favorite red polishes to share! Today I have the lovely Jelly Apple!

Ahhh this polish just makes my mouth water! :p It's so juicy and ripe looking! Jelly Apply is a true, bright red with blue undertones. Jelly polishes are at the tippy-top of the faves list and this one reigns supreme! This is tow coats, I know most of you would have gone with three or more for a jelly, but I love this wear them sheer!

Wet N Wild One the Prowl - Correction Tape over Nicole by OPI Rich in Spirit

Good morning!!!

Today I have a great layering combo to show you! Have you ever had a lemming for a polish so bad that it's on your fingernails literally within the hour you receive your nail mail? Silly question - of COURSE we all have! Duh! THANKS EVELYN! I couldn't believe my eyes that Correction Tape for Wet N Wild's HTF On the Prowl collection had actually arrived, that everything else had to wait. :P

Where to start, where to start?...... :) First of all - SQUARE GLITTER! I have a lot of rainbow glitter polish in my stash, but this baby stands alone with it's jaw-dropping square glitter! Way to stand out in a crowd, Wet N Wild! It's a crazy round/hex/square size mixture in black, blue, pink, and gold. So unique! Since I was already wearing one of my go-to favorite polishes, Rich in Spirit from Nicole by OPI, I though it would make a nice layering combo. I was Right! :)

This, ladies, is why I just can't get enough glitter in my life. :p

OPI Muppets Holiday Collection - Pepe's Purple Passion

What up!

Today I have my second polish to share from the OPI Muppets Holiday Collection - Pepe's Purple Passion. This plum beauty was another polish included in my swap with lovely Maria from Nails Made Simple. I pretty much have a lemming for all the polishes in this collection with the exception of a few, so expect to see more!

I've heard some major mixed reviews with this polish, but I gotta tell you, I luuuuuurve it! The best way I can describe Pepe's Purple Passion in a plum, raisin,  or reddish-purple with a mixture of purple and pink irregular shaped shimmer. I'm a sucker for purple, and a sucker for dark polishes so I was very pleased! I also picture this being a great pedicure polish too! :) I do think it was a tad on the thick side, so the next time I think I'll add in a few drops of thinner. I might be one of the few out there who really love this polish! <3 This was two coats.
